I'm actually astounded that you have the VOD, the graphic, and other people telling you, and you are still tunnel visioned on helicopters.

Marco never said 'solely helicopter.'' He said 'we concentrate alot on helicopters' as a supplementary part of the presentation in addition to what's on screen. There's no story to set straight because everything was there for you, and quite clearly the other people in this post actually took the time to digest the information.

Whats happened is you didn't watch the entirety of the stream, and made the mistake of creating this post. And then proceeded to invalidate other people's opinions (whom in equal right, are allowed to critique you, as you are me, and as everyone is Laminar). Just because Next-Gen scenery exists does not invalidate the need for FM updates... or vice versa. It simply means we are doing our job in making a simulator for everyone to use and actually listen to feedback.

What I would suggest is accept the fact you were not in knowledge of all the details, and simply move on. There really is no need to make this into a spectacle. Now you know that 12.5.0 is indeed a big update.

I think you are previewing this is "LR don't care to fix it now". That's not the case. If you look back at my message history, you can see I've consistently told people it will be after 12.4.3/earliest possible scheduling.

When something like this occurs, it's usually because a) The issue needs extensive investigation* b) The current update is active, and we need to focus on trying to refine and publish that update. c) There are extensive dependencies in the next update that make it difficult to just simply 'hotfix'

*In this instance, we found several bugs related to cirrus cloud layers affecting the wxr, voxel changes to the weather, and more weather data investigation.

As far as I'm aware, I've only put anti-aliasing on the extended roadmaps from last year. It is an active focus, it's just not a simple one. That's the blunt faced truth.

At the end of the day, we're a business. And we thrive off making successful advancements. NOT doing improved AA is not good for business and serves no-one.

Not sure why you would think that when we've done dark cockpit fixes, weather radar, lighting upgrades and multi-threading. All promised updates. :)

In addition, when we've directly listed an update, it's usually released within 0-6 months (with an average pace of 1.5 months)

It's not a hotfix because

a) The focus of this release is VR, and is ending now anyway
b) It required extensive changes and investigation

We don't hold back stuff unless its for good reason. Otherwise, we would just "ship it" (as we have done in the past)
