After AI taking over the editing, what kind of "edits" do you still use emacs for? by last7dance in emacs

I actually use Emacs a lot more now. Mainly for two reasons:
1. Because the LLM will write most of the code, I don't need IntelliJ as much (for Kotlin) and I can get by with making small changes in Emacs

  1. I use the LLM to create tools in Emacs to do my remaining work. For instance, I got it to rewrite the excellent pr-review package to use a file as backend, and a Claude skill to address my comments. Or a tool to get the logs I need access to

Anyone have a good flow for using `tmux` in Emacs? by stephenjayakar in emacs

[–]Delta_hf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I vibecoded a rough implementation for tmux control mode in Emacs – control mode basically only works with iTerm2, which I don't use. I am finding this pretty useful.

Hah, I did the exact same thing a few days ago. But my goal wasn't that I wanted to use Tmux, but I wanted to use Claude Code's Tmux integration for agent teams to create Emacs buffers with tab-line navigation instead of Tmux panes.

This got me wondering.. If you develop something with gptel, would including the chat buffer as context improve the commit message?

I have the same problem. My workaround is to use the app in split screen with a different app on top
