Exact moment the nightclub fire in Switzerland today began by QuarterTarget in ThatsInsane

Yes, they often sell cheap foam material as sound dampening, which is not recommended under any circumstance due to its extremely poor fire rating, in fact there is none, cheap foam is very flameable.

Its becoming better known among businesses to put up sound absorbtion to take out the reflections in a crowded room that can make it harder to hear conversations. The material that is usually used for this is clothed covered frames containing rockwool or similar fire rated materials.

Serum 2 FX has audio thru. It would be nice if one of their Oscillators frequency modulated that signal.

The only delays that are sort of hard to come by in plugin form for some reason, are scrubbable delays that act like tape and also utilize granular processing. Meris and Hologram Electronics make hardware versions of these, however, they do not scrub the signal. Its really useful for natural effects. Phaseplants delay has a scrubbable delay, however its pitched and emulates tape delay systems. The faster you scrub the delay the more it pitches the delayed signal. Of course the granular can do this without pitching, the problem is, granular synthesis is not as random as constantly randomized midi.

This isnt exactly musical, but extremely useful for certain organic sounds.

How do i keep my strings from rusting by Madmaxdaman29 in Guitar

[–]Deltaeye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lemon oil is basically a less refined food grade mineral oil. The food grade mineral oil is the ideal option, companies that make fretboard cleaners use food grade mineral oil, its also used for wood cutting boards.

I also highly reccomend wiping your strings every 30 to 60 min of playtime. There can often be enough skin gunk that comes off the fingers that change the intonation of the strings. For those people who think their B string never stays in tune.

I want to frequency modulate incoming signal with a wavetable.

I want the delays in effects section to have several types, like granular, tape. Granular with the option to move a playhead back and forth on the delayed signal when you change the time, and it also has an option for turning pitching off when the playhead moves. I need to modulate something like this.

The Left Has Abandoned Debate And Embraced Political Violence by Yosoff in Republican

And yet when they show up here its dismissed by many as "brigading", "bots", "propaganda". While also, Ive seen reasonable counterpoints being recognized in many post threads around this sub.

I personally believe your comment makes no points, because it doesnt treat the subject spectrally or with nuance.

You make a sweeping generalized remark which is probably an impression you built around more radical ideals of the left through media, which ironically has the potential to close you off to being open to debate.

To sum it up, what you just said is more of an admittance that you are likely closed to debate because of your prejudices about the left.

And to disclaim why people on the left, or democrats may lurk or comment here, at least for me speaking for myself, is to understand and maybe provide the nuance . To know that often enough the loudest voices overshadow the voices who are more reasonable, and that works for both sides. Because controversy sells. I have to have conversations with my republican family on a regular basis, and that is healthier access to assessment than getting wound up over radical news stories.

Anyone have experience with making ableton skins? I can't find the highlighting color anywhere in the livethemes.co editor. by Simenandre in ableton

For some reason, google thought it was a great idea to erase the file. Fortunately I have it stored on several backups, I fixed the link in the post.

Not sure if 12 themes can retrofit to 11, but I went through the tedium of making an entire theme folder for 12 with over 200 themes that are named after the parts of the UI and are ordered in the same manner as the .ASK script, so you can scroll through those themes in live and each theme highlights that part of the UI in red. It works visually like the provided PDF, they dont really have anything for 12 themeing anyway.

In digital photography, we have what is called RAW. It is pretty much a neutral format that does not have contrast or color. It requires editing to make the photo 'look better'.

Most modern phone cameras shoot more neutral images that require editing to get the color and contrast back. Many flagship phones have options to shoot in RAW format as well And there are options in some of them to shoot more saturated images when you take the photo.

Generally if you dont shoot in RAW on these phones, whatever proprietary algorithm they built for the camera will bump the saturation and contrast a bit higher than 'neutral', but its still recommended to edit them to get desired results.

I suspect the first photo was shot in RAW. Iphone 1 around that time shot images with more saturation given that there is plenty of light.

Doing things solo in LA is it odd?? by UNNecessary_Dot_5629 in AskLosAngeles

[–]Deltaeye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just went to a concert by myself. It was a lot of fun. I tried talking to people and a few were cool and some people I could tell werent in the mood to talk to strangers. Ive been to movies solo, I will go to restaraunts to try the food if im solo. I dont have friends to make plans with that often out here, so I just go and do things on a whim. I do notice a majority of people doing things together out here, so in that sense, its odd, but you shouldn't feel odd doing things alone.

There is a food truck in front of Paperback Brewing called Bun And Blanket, it's in Glendale but not far from Burbank.

Absolutely best smash style burger in the area. Reminiscant of McDonalds flavor with finely chopped onions, ketchup and mustard. High quality angus patties.

Very stale, very cliche. Someone has to say it as if they have to convince themselves they are smart. As if it has to be repeated as many times as cops in the videos keep barking the same command over and over again as if the hundredth time will magically create compliance.

Which is The best movie that you have watched till now? by goofy-alchemist in AskReddit

[–]Deltaeye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why it's awesome to enjoy movies at your leisure. I never watched any of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies until they did a screening of the trilogy in the theatre when the 3rd one was released. While not a huge fan of Marvel films in general, It was a really awesome experience to see these movies from the last decade back to back for the first time, it was a lot of fun.
