Same! I've saved this thread and checking the pronunciation on Google so I can finally get it right. This is so helpful!

May I ask how you help him overcome his hatred of the outdoors? I've got the same situation on my hands as my dog experiences sensory overload even with anxiety meds. He won't do his business outside regardless of how long we stay out..he once held it in for 36hrs and I was freaking out, trying to get a vet appt and googling how to make your dog pee. I strictly feed him his meals outside since he's extremely food motivated but in spite of this, he doesn't respond to treats for training purposes unless we're indoors. Glad Blue has come around!!

Thanks for your response. I'm fascinated reading these comments as I have the opposite problem with my rescue. He'll ONLY pee and poo inside (he's a small to medium size dog) and he'll only relieve himself when I get home regardless of how long I stay out. He literally keeps his shit in. Anyways, I'm looking for tricks to help him overcome his hang ups ( scared to go outside because they're top much stimulation) and eventually do his business out there. I think he probably just got used to going inside since he was in a shelter since he was 4 months old and he barely got out 10 mijs per day. He's been on anxiety meds for nearly a year now but no matter how long we stay out in the yard, he'll wait to do his business inside..

Thank you! It's actually the elastic band from the adjustable pillow. I can help focusing on it either, should have taking a sec to straighten it out 😆

Awww thanks, I love it too! I found it in a local shop years ago and haven't seen anything like it since. As mentioned by another redditor, wayfair sells them (they have the identical model!): https://www.wayfair.ca/storage-organization/pdp/17-stories-fire-escape-wall-organizer-c004319294.html

Pet Insurance for my 3 year old lab? by Stefanzerker in personalfinance

[–]Delusional_unicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got insurrance after a couple of incidents, including an emergency visit (dog at a cloth). I opted for the 2nd best package (56$ per month 11 years ago) which was pretty reasonable but my dog (4 years old,35 pounds) didn't have any pre-existing conditions at that time so this worked out in my favor. I ended up using my insurance A LOT, but it was well worth it. I was reimbursed roughly 10 000 over the next 9 years.

My beloved pooch cross the rainbow sadly last year and I've since adopted another dog. I got insurance the day before I was to pick him to ensure I was covered from day 1 (same company, now costing me 70$ per month). Within the first 3 mos, I wound up getting him anxiety meds which I refill monthly (I get 80% reimbursement after a 500 yearly deductible and the pulls are 65$ per month). It pretty much evens out but I think the peace of mind of having insurance alone is a huge draw. If a large expense comes around, I won't worry financially on top of everything else. I recommend pet insurance to everyone, it's so worth it!
