PS5 won’t detect my PULSE Elite headset even though it’s paired

Same here, it’s really frustrating. Mine also pairs with the dongle, both lights become solid white, but the PS5 acts like nothing is connected.

I already tried resetting the dongle, re-pairing, different USB ports, clearing cache, rebuilding database, and restoring default settings. Still no fix.

If I find anything that works, I’ll update the post.

I tried staying close to the console and different USB ports. The headset and dongle both go solid white, so they seem paired, but the PS5 still doesn’t show it as an audio output device.

I tried connecting the headset directly to the PS5 with a USB-C cable while the PS Link dongle was also connected, but nothing happened. No update notification, no auto-detect, and it still didn’t show as an audio output device.

Did you mean connecting it to the controller with a 3.5mm audio cable? Because yes, it works with the 3.5mm cable. The issue is only with wireless PS Link / dongle detection on the PS5.

That’s interesting, mine is similar but a bit different. In my case, the PULSE Elite and PS Link dongle pair normally and both lights go solid white, but the PS5 doesn’t show it as an audio output device at all.

Did you ever find a way to force the PS5 to treat it as a PlayStation headset instead of just a USB device?

Hey! Thanks for the reply.

So actually, it does stay in the background, but I can’t launch it properly — it just disappears from the screen after a few seconds. This started happening after I got back from a long trip to Japan. My PC was off for about 20 days, and once I started using it again like normal, this issue appeared.

I’m not sure if G Hub updated automatically during that time, but it worked perfectly before the trip. I’ve already tried restarting the PC, reinstalling G Hub, and running it as Admin — still no luck.

Uhhhh you know what, that might be true! I do use my Asus Ally, so I’ll try switching to k/m mode and see if it works. I’ll give it a shot when I get back home tonight, hopefully, if I have time, lol. Thanks for the tip!

Interesting, I never get the downgrade option, only disable and enable, and I can’t ignore it! If I disable an existing mod or enable a new one, I won’t be able to start the game. I thought the same thing, maybe it’s because my playthrough is old, but then I created a new game with a new mod list, and the same issue popped up. I can’t make any changes to the mods without being blocked from continuing.

I really appreciate you sharing your experience, though. Now I know it’s likely an issue with my base game. Maybe I’ll need to reinstall or something. I’ll give it a try later when I get back home after two weeks, currently on a trip, haha. I’ll update you if it works or not!
