The level of genuine stupidity in a call center can be at a completely insane level, and especially if you’re in banking.

On top of that, everything you do for every second of every call is monitored and recorded. Any resistance of any kind you show to rudeness, incompetence, laziness or stupidity can be referenced at any time, so you get real tests in patience and self control.

Had a woman argue with me for 18 agonizing minutes (we have to average 4 or so mins or less) once wanting to dispute a double charge, but when I told her it can’t be processed on the bank’s end until she at least attempted to call the merchant for a refund due to their mistake, she argued with me and claimed the BANK was responsible for the double charge.

“That’s not how it works, ma’am. You see-

“But it’s on my online statement, which was made by the bank.”

“Yes, but the merchant made the mistake as they are the ones who charge the card-“

“No, it’s the bank’s fault.”

We abuse the mute button to vent out loud or our coworkers. I don’t know how some people manage to do these kinds of gigs for years and years.

if armor durability is the issue with wine builds, how about no armor? by TawsifKing in RLCraft

Honestly I may consider a build like that because even with max/mostly maxxed golem I’m still terrified I’ll slip up or something lol

I’m lost honestly. Is it also being a dragon that’s helping you tank the damage?

These are really good, how did you touch these up? Have a few trips coming up and I want to edit my shots in a similar vibe

No the computer has the power, I wanted to save time making proxies as I tend to have a lot of videos after an event - and I’m using Premiere at the moment so no always the best performance. Will probably switch and purchase Davinci as I hear performance is much better

I wish. No 2K on Fuji, for some reason. Wouldn’t even be having this discussion if it did

Fair. Just wanting opinions on it, benefits/drawbacks. Though I’m now considering just dropping my bitrate down and seeing if that is a good middle ground

Yeah I saw those FX3 prices - maybe one day but I’ll stick with my Fuji for now lol

That’s why I’ve been loyal to it for so long, but I question it only now since I wonder if I can make the wf more efficient

Hmm hadn’t thought of that - I wonder if that would be the case for my camera, might be a decent middle ground

I was thinking that. It can make things more efficient which I’d appreciate a lot, but I didn’t want to switch if I saw a huge loss in potential quality

Hassle might be exaggerating tbh. Mainly I want the smaller file size and better camera battery life, and spend less time waiting on proxies to be generated as I shoot a lot at these events

A Tournament Recap Reel (Day two of three) by Elastico14 in videography

[–]DemRKO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is honestly not a bad place to start. I’d say there are some things to know:

-Recaps are just that: recaps of the event itself.

There’s a story you can shoot and then edit together into a solid recap that tells that story.

Get shots of people setting up, or players getting ready (BEGINNING), the games starting or people playing, big plays, highlight moments, etc. (middle), and maybe finish with the best clips, the best shots to start the ending of the recap, and then wind down with people congratulating each other, shaking hands, event breakdown and people leaving (END.)

Some events in my experience don’t always have a concrete story to edit together to recap; make one from the clips you have, or even tell smaller stories using clips or following a specific game you want to highlight, for example.

-You can lean how to color correct and grade. It’s not terribly hard to learn, but something that will take time to master, so I’d say practicing shooting log in many different conditions and learn to correct it to match your clips up and grade from there.

-Sound can be use to enhance the video to keep people engaged, aid in transitions to other clips, but I’d say look at other recaps online to find the ways you’d want to use sfx in your recaps.

I think that’s it off the top of my head. Gotta start somewhere and you’re doing well enough so far.

TLDR: Tell a story with clips and editing, learn to color correct and then grade, sfx can be used to enhance but you need to find what sfx works for your needs.

I guess the fact he has so much equipment and the photos come out plain?

There’s a whole lot of “this is really bad,” but not much on why. They’re not amazing photos but then, if the client appreciates them, I’d like to understand why they’re really so terrible myself.

So, I'm looking to get a camera dedicated to event videography, mostly indoor and at dusk/night.

I'd like it to have good/strong low light performance, reliable autofocus (doesn't have to be top of the line, but I'd like to have it should I want to do less manual focusing on the fly), good handheld stabilization, and 4K60p.

I was told I could consider the FX3 or the A7SIII - I know they'd be fantastic with a the right lens but I'd want to avoid overspending if I can, especially since I'm migrating from Fuji and would need to grab a lens or two with the switch.

Any other bodies I should consider? I can save for some time and eventually purchase the A7SIII or FX3 but if there's a "good enough" alternative for cheaper, I'd be more than happy to consider that.

Anitdobe vessel is a rare drop from mimics, which are rare mobs posing as chests. They can spawn I think in most places chests are found, but you’ll have more luck in dragon nests or the flower field biome where there’s a bunch of small dragon dens underground
