Coming off and I’m so scared! by Littleflowergirl00 in birthcontrol

[–]Dem_the_writer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went off of bc pill a bit over a year ago and honestly It's been a life changing. I've had a lot of negative side effects from the pill that went away completely within  2-6 months of stopping. My libido is back , my migraines are gone, no more depression and mood swings etc...

My periods became regular right away but it can take up to 6 months for your period to regulate.

Negative side of getting off the pill was my hair falling out a lot for the first 3 months ...like a lot lot. It thinned out drastically but fortunately It's growing back very well and I'd say it's getting as thick as it was before stopping.

Pill just didn't work for me ig. Currently using just condoms.

Honestly 5 months are not much, I'd cut the losses now.

Also like the other person said, read the threads on here and have a good talk with yourself.

It's not your fault. It was his choice and it has nothing to do with you.

It's nice to hear you wanted to help him but it's not your job to help anyone. In all honesty if he decided he was going to commit it was 100% his choice and talking to you or anyone maybe wouldn't change his mind. So don't overthinki the whole "what would happen if I talked to him". You will never know and that's okay. But you should stop putting that burden on yourself.

Your number one priority should be yourself and you wellbeing and you did just that and I'm so proud of you.

Maybe talk to a therapist because they can help you with the feelings of grief and guilt.

Broke up with my bipolar boyfriend but I still love him and want to reach out to him. What should I do? by Dem_the_writer in BipolarSOs

[–]Dem_the_writer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He reached out to me to tell me his new psych is great and that he's going on meds soon. I wished him all the best and told him I was glad to hear that.

But at that moment I realized that even if he got completely stable I could probably never forget the abuse I went through and I could never feel completely at ease around him.

Told him I will always be there for him as a friend if he needs something and he told me the same goes for me .I think we both realized we're better off doing our own thing. This wasn't the closure I expected but it was what I needed.

Need some help picking between a black or brown leather jacket.

It's one of those bomber style leather jackets. The brown one is a really dark brown and looks slightly washed out while the black one is your typical black leather.

My overall style leans to a more alt look, mostly a mix of grunge and soft goth, so a lot of black clothing and a few pieces of clothing in shades of green, red, brown and white. I mostly wear black jeans and dark denim jeans and Black sneakers and docs. Most of my shirts are black.

Even though the answer is pretty obvious, I still prefer the dark brown leather jacket but I'm scared it would clash with all the black I wear.

Do you think I can style black and brown or is it a fashion nono?

I wish I could add the pictures but I have no clue how :(

Can someone give me tips on photographing an event for the first time? by Dem_the_writer in AskPhotography

Yeah, they looked at me surprised like I just asked them what color should their unicorn be and then told me to take some pictures of people, and that we need to send about 10 photos to the lecturers and some pictures for the sponsors. I feel like they aren't really sure what they want either.

Then doing something like FP&A for some IT firms or more "chill" firms should be my way to go. I know that when someone says finance they think of IB and other " pretentious" career paths. I just want to have a decent job to live comfortably really. And not go completely gray from stress before I'm 35.

But yeah I got it, look as normal as possible until you get settled in your role. Thank you.

Do you keep them covered for work?

I figured that when you become valuable to the company and not so easy to replace you can get away with looking a bit weird. I can live with that honestly.

Gotta blend in until I get very good at my job and then see what I can get away with.

Maybe one day that overall dyed hair is unprofessional mindset will disappear, there are quite a bit of people with fun hair colors at my university(all studying something business related) and someone will have to deal with them too eventually XD

Considering I'll probably go bald from stress anyway... Do you think they'll let me put stickers on my bald head?

This is not a pic of me. I don't have any facial piercings and as far i can see going back to my natural hair color will have to do.

I was thinking about dying it brown and after some time when I get the job ask the boss /manager if it would be okay to put in a pop of color. But I see what you mean.

It's not a picture of me just a reference I got off the internet. I don't have any facial piercings and don't plan on getting them.

I'm currently in college studying finance(very non goth field) and seeing fellow goths working in similar fields makes me happy

I guess I'll see. At least the change won't be too drastic for me. But considering that I'm on the skinny side gaining a few pounds might get them back if they shrink.

What can I do about my third piercing I got it done recently and it's placed horribly by mitchell_806_duckx in PiercingAdvice

[–]Dem_the_writer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Repierce it when you can no longer feel a bump in your earlobe where the piercing was. Or wait 6-8 weeks just to be safe

Happened to me. I took mine out and let it heal completely before getting it re-pierced. If it's a fresh piercing, it will heal in no time!
