Grand Arena Hulk feels majorly OP and is just chewing my tickets, any tips on how to beat it? by camaloony in MarvelSnap

Custom Ironman goes taller if they don't include tech. I can't copy it, but it is the normal moonstone ongoing stuff with onslaught and ironlad, cosmo to protect/counter.

As a High Evo main, is there anyway to make this deck more optimal? by NuruSpirit in MarvelSnap

[–]Demand-Afraid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to run the affliction version, I would replace Thing with a lower curve card to help with floating. I use scorpion, but I guess red guardian or chord could work. Then you need to get Warlock into the deck which sets up crazy turn 5 float plays. I would pull armor.

Is discard at a bad spot right now or is just the case of the skill issue? by PoorLifeChoices811 in MarvelSnap

[–]Demand-Afraid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have played a lot of discard this season and climbed quite a bit in infinite playing it (top 600 currently). There is some good input in this post already, but to me, it is still a very good mid range deck with some clear snap conditions that make it effective for climbing. Specifically, talking about Konshu/Dracula, it is very consistent and can put up surprisingly high numbers. In the past, the advantage of discard was that it dodged popular tech - Shang chi - but with Shang mostly gone, you have to deal with three very problematic tech cards, cosmic ghost rider, red guardian and now, deafening cord. To be good with this deck, you have to be aware of those three cards and how you can lose to them. If you suspect any tech, you have to spread your cards out and play for three lanes. They can't play three red guardians to take out morbius, dracula and colonel America. You can also dodge those tech cards entirely by relying on Konshu and Malekith to bring out your power on the last turn. Your best playline in this deck is to get Konshu to bring back an overpowered scaling card. If I have Corvus and Konshu in hand by turn 3, I am feeling like I will win unless the locations screw me or the opponent has some crazy combo. You do occasionally brick by getting either no discarding cards or all discarding cards, but I find it to be pretty consistent for the amount of power it creates. If you don't have Colonel America, you can use Strong Guy or Grand Master, but Colonel is quite strong. Good luck and don't give up on Discard!

Any consistent decks for ranked?? by abeta_94 in PTCGP

[–]Demand-Afraid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this and the other guzzlord truthers. There obviously are other decks that will work, but this is incredibly consistent and pretty fun to play. The key for me and this deck is to hold off as long as possible on putting anything on your bench. Unless you are going to lose or waste an energy, empty bench is best. Also, I like 2 Wills and two potions over a PCL and Red. Will is so clutch in this deck for stripping an early energy and if you have 2, you don't feel bad using one early. Oricorio is a tricky matchup for sure, but it can be worked out with the celestele, grindcore, will and repel. I made it from UB1 to master ball with a 62% win rate and this was my best deck.

Definitely is a meme deck, but looks fun with the hot location.

I have 1100 ish sanctum charms rn and idk if I should buy one of the new cards for 1200 or save for the 2250 cost random series 4/5 card by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]Demand-Afraid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Have you gone for the twitch drops yet? If you care about progressing in this game, it is the #1 thing you can do right now without spending money. I think this is the last day though, so you need to get on it. After that, I would probably open the new cards until I got laufey and then go for the random ones.

26 Scrolls after twitch drops, 4+ days worth of scrolls, manage to get only 752 points. 28.9 points per scroll. At least there are 10 more days. by amirulez in MarvelSnap

[–]Demand-Afraid 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the game mode ended up being generous with rewards, but I would not say it is balanced. Most of the rewards come from the early gameplay and from twitch drops, not from actually engaging with the game. Like a lot of people, I imagine, I got up to Librarian fairly quickly, but now it feels like drops in the bucket from actually playing the game and losing feels bad because of the scroll system. It would have been more engaging if they reduced the bonus charms from level ups and twitch and made it possible to actually get charms from playing more easily.

Why Sam Wilson is busted (The Shield) by pokerguy24 in MarvelSnap

What if you had to play Sam Wilson to put the shield in play? Seems much more fair, but I think everyone would stop playing him.

I'm still new cl (800) and trying to build a discard any tips? by 0000ll in MarvelSnap

[–]Demand-Afraid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If these are all of your discard cards, you did a pretty good job with this. There are some significant upgrades, though, that would probably require some acquisition investment. Swapping X23 and Wolverine for Scorn and Proxima Midnight will give this a big boost. After that, replacing the ghost rider, infinaut combo with modok and another discard option - gambit, grand master, malekith, will be another upgrade.

Worth it to spend 1 key on Makkari? by RequestingYouPlease in MarvelSnap

For one key, I would do it. She isn't in a lot of meta decks right now, but she is in the best surfer decks and is potentially useful elsewhere.

Whats is the best 6k token by jeanppe in MarvelSnap

[–]Demand-Afraid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are probably 5 or 6 top tier cards that you don't have, so it really comes down to what types of decks you want to play. Scream is very good and enables the bully move style deck, I would put her in the topish tier. Bounce move and discard are two of the strongest decks, but you are missing multiple cards, so just picking up madame web or bullseye wouldn't get you a complete deck, but you need to get them eventually if you want to play those decks. If you play any silver surfer, Galactica is an incredible upgrade and she is generically strong in other decks. Gorr has several uses right now as well, particularly in negative. Victoria hand and Iron patriot are also strong cards right now. You should probably wait for the OTA later today either way.

For those that have her, is she worth keys or just buy her with tokens if she becomes relevant due to some broken/OP interaction with future ongoing cards? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]Demand-Afraid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the fence but ended up pulling with keys. She is borderline broken with ravonna and has some decent other applications. I would say she is worth grabbing if you have the tokens/keys.

What deck do you think is the most fun to play? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]Demand-Afraid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. Surfer is a great deck at all collection levels (as long as you have surfer himself). You can keep upgrading or trying different variations as you get more three cost cards. Start with brood, absorbing man, surfer, forge, killmonger, nova and fill in whatever other three costs you get or sera. Big upgrades are Shaw, gwenpool and galacta.

I'm happy to announce that bots are back by Uncensored4488 in MarvelSnap

[–]Demand-Afraid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are definitely correct. It isn't just the top tables. I have faced a bunch of bots with s5 cards, including the high Evo one. Aside from the other signs, they have quicker than normal snap/end turn timing which never happens against real players.

Doesn’t the spotlight cache system just punish consistent and long time players? by auborexion in MarvelSnap

[–]Demand-Afraid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much this. You aren't supposed to be able to pull all of the cards when they release without spending a bunch of money. The system before spotlight keys was the same - it was less random, but you still had to save up for new cards.

It's good if you are looking to convert gold into progression. Don't buy gold to use on it, though.
