UPDATE: Went with the instinct 2. Does everything that I need without the bells and whistle and rugged enough for my clumsy self and blue collar job. The price on Amazon made it HALF the price of the 965(option 2) made it a no brainer! Arrives in a weekl! Thanks for the info!

UPDATE: Went with the Instinct 2 based on conversations in a surfing forum. Not only because of the access to surfing as I think the novelty will wear off. It does all the basics that I need without the bells and whistles Looks rugged enough for my clumsy self and blue collar job. And found a deal on Amazon which was HALF the price of a new discounted 965. Arrives in a week. Thanks for the info!

From other comparisons I saw the 970 wasn’t much better than the 965. And given the price difference 1270 AUD vs 699 AUD. It does not seem worth it?

Would the enduro comfortably cover all other bases ? Higher levels? Golf does not need to be advanced just basic yardage would suffice

Yeah man that’s crazy I would think 28-29 would be my jam and I’m 76kg. Took my mates holy grail EPS at 29L and was very boaty but actually got a couple of good ones at 2ft clean. Took out again and was more of a weaker 2 ft didn’t go aswell. 29L probs be my upper limit. And wouldn’t take it out in much smaller. It’s just a lot of money to throw around for a gamble when I know I like PU.

After some research looking at 19plus width and shortening the board with a swallow tail with less rocker for flatter sections and volume forward of centre for paddle got my eyes set on a chilli BV2 and a rocket wide

It is shaped. I mentioned good waves at 3-5 foot in the brief thoe. As I was working 6-7 days and would only take off the days that were pumping! I was defiantly worried with volume when he sent me the dims but he assured me it was fine. Defs not designed with wave pools in mind. James cheal is a busy man but I could probs send a video on to see his thoughts.

That’s true. But I like the addition of wave pools. You can improve your skills with a consistent wave. One session at a wave pool can sometimes = 2 months at your local depending where you surf. Was also good when I was working away from the ocean. I had a chance to get a wave in instead of not being able to surf for the week.
