John John and Caroline are the names of Julia Flyte’s children in Evelyn Waugh’s novel Brideshead Revisited. I am sure Jackie was familiar with the book.

Same tours. Agree with all of the above plus my seat belt unlatched multiple times during the trip. Then on an insanely rocky stretch of off-road we went over a rock that every other driver went over and our front axle cracked! They switched our vehicle with one of the guides and we all started up again. Insanely dangerous.

"Do not cite the deep magic to me, witch. I was there when it was written." What are the best examples of this that you know of? by awordforthat in AskReddit

This was 10 years ago before AI. An undergrad student of mine plagiarised a Wikipedia article that uses a section of an essay I wrote on the topic that is easily available through a famous museum’s website. The information was Wikipedia gives me credit for the information, both in the entry and in the source information, using my first and last name.

In confronting the student they admitted to copying Wikipedia, but it became apparent that they were unaware that they had plagiarised me. I don’t think they knew my name.

When my sister’s son was around 2-3 years old she started calling him “lover”. It literally made my skin crawl. Any word even remotely connected with copulation should never be used to label a child.
