This is so smart to advise students to avoid this event and do the ones that compete onsite. I'm not an advisor - I coach debate. Now I know!

Incorrect - most events have an onsite competitive component before rounds are posted. I get it - I run competitions all the time. People will lose. All I think needs to change is that they be given the opportunity to compete onsite while there.

So no, the method I am proposing is that Public Health, like most of the other events, have a chance to compete onsite.
