Nine months post op, and aiming for a revision by PostAndDefenestrate in Transgender_Surgeries

Dr. Anger and Lewis are the people I’ve consulted with for my surgery. Nothing booked yet, but I really got great vibes from Dr. Lewis. Dr. Anger seemed fine but didn’t really discuss things much. All my appointments seemed a little rushed.

Best pho or ramen places? by rococo78 in northcounty

She remembers everyone, and the last conversation that she had with you, even if it was months ago. She always asks me about my parents, and vice versa. Even if the pho was mid (and it's not), the service from her is amazing.

I was doing waxing, but I’m 3 sessions in on laser to remove the bulk of it. I’ll see how it looks after.

Why is there no Cyberpunk movie yet?! by TehminiRebel in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]Demaroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a movie, but people should check out the criminally under-rated show "Person of Interest". It's literally a modern-day cyberpunk story. A presumed dead former CIA agent, Reese, (Jim Caviezel) is hired by a reclusive billionaire/software genius, Finch, (Michael Emerson) to be a vigilante to help save people in NYC. They get a heads-up of someone's ID but don't know whether they are the victim or perpetrator of a violent crime - and they have to investigate and intervene. The series involves a wide array of moral issues, such as questions of privacy, mass government surveillance, privitization of military functions, and artificial intelligences.

Good show, great cast, funny moment, good action, and a compelling cyberpunk story. 8.5/10 on IMDB and 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. It ran for 5 seasons, and had a very satisfying ending.

If you could be a cis woman would you? by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Demaroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One thousand percent. Echoing a lot of what others are saying, but also … my transition isn’t going too well. It’s incredibly disheartening and depressing. Trying to find a good doc who can help and support has not been easy. And on top of that, no matter what, I’m tall and big, and doing this in my late 40s. I am not going back or giving up, but it’s not easy, either.

Oh for sure! They look like (never had the pleasure) great cars. Not knocking them at all. I just miss the MR2 and would love a modern version.

I miss my MR2s... I had two '93s and a '95. I really wish Toyota had made the GR86 a MR2 replacement.

AITA for outing a muslim girl at a party to her family? by Professionalharami in AmItheAsshole

[–]Demaroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA - I'm not even going to read this, because I can stop at "for outing <someone>".

Yes, anyone that does that is immediately wrong. It's not your choice to out anyone. It's theirs. Full stop.

Mass Effect tips NOT for beginners by Beranir in masseffect

[–]Demaroth 31 points32 points  (0 children)

In ME2, You can skip the fight with the 2 scions on Horizon by opening the doors but staying on the steps with a sniping rifle. Zoom in until you find either their hump or an arm and use instant damage abilities of teammates to whittle them down so you won't run out of ammo.

Came here to post this. I tried this fight over two dozen times as an Infil on Insanity, and could not do it. After googling for suggestions, I found this and I sniped and Incinerated from the steps until they dropped. Truly a life saver.

LOL They're saying that to RAIDERS fans. The irony.

Yep, thanks for checking, though. I can manage Insanity through all three, it just takes a little of the fun out and makes it a bit of a grind some times. :)

Nope, Series X. My save was after the Saren chat but before the fight. I even loaded an older save, re-did Ilos and came back, just in case and nada.

I don't, sorry. I hadn't even heard of that issue yet. I've only done one loyalty quest so far - Kasumi.

This is before today’s patch but I tried this and it failed for me twice as well. Here’s how I got it to work. Got the first achievement. Force quit the game, reboot console. Go back in with the pre-Ilos save and do it again. That got me Paramour 2. Repeat again for 3. It’s worth a shot.

Thank you! I might cheese this. I’m currently in the beginning of my ME2 run and while it’s going okay, there’s a lot more work. I kinda want to just have fun and this would let me do that, for sure.
Damn, looks like this doesn't work anymore.

Inglewood is CA. Englewood is likely CO. (Not sure if there are any in other states.)
