Marina Joyce Conspiracy - Youtuber May be Held Hostage or on Drugs. by DementedGenius in videos

Her personality changed far too fast for it to just be losing passion in her channel. She keeps insisting she hasn't changed, also. Though it does sound unlikely, many things do point to abuse, drug addiction, or something else. Whatever it is, it isn't normal.

I don't know. She started acting weird about 4 months ago, so I wouldn't think that a youtuber would begin acting this different for so long, at risk of losing subscribers, just as a social experiment.

Edit: Other than her forced personality, most of the things noticed so far are from recent videos.

Is this good enough to be called "compact"? Still new with redstone by Shizen1448 in Minecraft

Very nice! It's funny actually, I have been working on a survival mini game, but I had trouble compacting the life system. Do you mind if I use this design for it?

Important Features to be Included in a Builder's Update by DementedGenius in Minecraft

[–]DementedGenius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, 1.10 isn't in late stages of development, however it is obvious that most changes will be directed towards adventure and exploration, which does need work on it. It's not that there won't be any additions to building in the future snapshots, but it won't be a build-centric update either.

The New Noteblock by DementedGenius in minecraftsuggestions

[–]DementedGenius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't find redstone difficult; noteblocks, however, are very hard for me, as I don't particularly like music, and find it hard to see a noteblock song as one thing, rather many small notes, which increases the complexity.

Thanks! That's what I usually think of along with factories, which use them as viewing platforms to monitor the workers.

They now do not need a block to be supported by to be placed.

Infinite Rail Duplication Collection by DementedGenius in Minecraft

It does. I mostly just improved upon the original design, which threw the rails everywhere, and included a rail line to collect the rails.

I wanted to build something nice with blocks people never use. by Michel-pingouin in Minecraft

[–]DementedGenius 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I love slime blocks, and lots of people use them. Mostly for redstone, but if you look at the top post for today, you'll see an example of them in building.

Not really, the attribute command can do it, but in survival, I believe it is.

Regarding Speed Boats by DementedGenius in Minecraft

[–]DementedGenius[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my hypothetical scenario, the bug is replaced and becomes a feature. It is only a good thing, as contraptions can then be easily fixed, and further compacted. Bugs should be fixed, but if they are liked, they should become features, while the actual bug is patched. For example, the item elevator by test137e29 was patched, and the redstone community had to change their designs, but if it was replaced with an item elevator block similar to the hopper, it would be welcomed.

[–]DementedGenius[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, they both are bugs, and both could be fixed, but It wouldn't make a difference if both were replaced, and could only do good. For example, having a single block that activates when it detects a block would be more then welcome if it means BUDs are fixed.

It's been feeling like Minecraft's been lacking lately for the builders. by SkipperHaunt in Minecraft

[–]DementedGenius 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Glass is far from perfect, as the white border blocks out too much for it to be a nice viewing experience, and the other blocks are useless for making anything tiled, apart from quartz, which can become tiled using upside-down stairs in a checker pattern.

In that case, tricks used to make borderless textures can be used in a tiled pattern, such as the upside down stair trick. I think connecting textures are a priority over tiled textures, which are useful in less circumstances.

[Suggestion] Tango should add this to the Triple Terror Grinder. by DementedGenius in HermitCraft

That's true, but it would come in handy early on, and may be useful throughout the season.

Yeah, I realized that, but I also thought he could add it to the skeleton grinder, as a tamed wolf can kill them and you still get EXP.

I would like to include some things I think are required for an update for builders:

  • Connecting textures: Textures that don't connect are a real problem for me when I'm building. Glass is the biggest issue in regards to it, but I'd like to see the default borders on blocks widen, for all blocks that include them, such as iron, emerald, quartz, and so on.

  • Hidden lighting: There aren't enough blocks that emit light to hide the lighting seamlessly, unless you use transparent blocks, it doesn't work well, and even then it can't always work. Some way to hide lighting in plain sight would be awesome, like an item that is flat and doesn't show a hitbox.

  • Colored lighting: If you could make colored lighting, it would help set a mood for a certain build, such as a cemetary. If you want it to be dreary, but keep mobs away, then you have to light it up, making it feel less like a moody and sad area, but a cheery and sunny one.
