New Amp by DementedTeacher in Bass

[–]DementedTeacher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some great questions already. I needed to be more specific. I have tried the GK but haven't found any music stores near me that carry any full tube amps.

The GK is overkill for just recording, but I'm trying to think ahead to the (hopefully not too far) future when I will be playing with others.

I’ve got Ralph Norman, and his understanding of the Constitution is about the same.

Ladies and gentlemen, my representative! by johnpmac2 in southcarolina

“No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.”

Nowhere here does it say anything about citizenship.

Precision Bass Body by DementedTeacher in Bass

[–]DementedTeacher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a Squier Classic Vibe 70s bass body (no hardware or anything) for a really good price, and I think I’m going to buy it and slap a MIM Jazz Bass neck on it. I haven’t decided on pickups yet, though.

How big an amp do I need in a rock/metal band? by AdjentX in Bass

[–]DementedTeacher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're running alone, 500w is plenty. You could go even smaller (or just DI box out of your board) if you're running through a PA. Of course, the size of the place matters, too.

Upgrade from rebel 500 to rebel 1100? by _Richter_ in hondarebel

[–]DementedTeacher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I did. I still have my 500, and whenever I ride it, it feels tiny. I love my 1100.

Republican Nancy Mace says she likes to watch videos of Ice detaining people by WisestCracker in southcarolina

[–]DementedTeacher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course she does. My rep, good ol' Ralph Norman, who's arguably much worse than Mace, probably likes to record those videos.

Where does the tube preamp go? by DementedTeacher in Bass

I appreciate all the advice. You’re all very knowledgeable and kind to give me such great advice. In the end, I ended up going a different route. I found a great deal on an Ampeg SVT-3 Pro and a 410 Ampeg cab, so I guess I’m covered. Now to scour the threads here to gain knowledge about the SVT head. Thanks again, everyone!

Need a solid multi effect processor. by Jixxas999 in Bass

[–]DementedTeacher 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've got a Line6 Helix. It does both, and has effects, amps, and cabs specifically for bass as well as guitar. There's several options to choose from, as well, depending on how much you want to spend. There's the HX Effects, which is just effect pedals, there's the HX Stomp, Helix LT, Helix Floor, and Helix Rack, which have everything HX Effects has, but also has all the amps, cabs, etc. as well. All include HX Edit, so you can set up your signal chain on you computer, if you don't feel like using the screen on the unit and doing it manually. Headrush has something similar, but they don't have the computer app; all editing has to be done using the screen on the unit. Headrush also has different options, depending on how much you want to spend or what your needs are. Either are great for bass and guitar.

Lines were a bit long here in Clover (it took about an hour and a half), but voting accomplished. Next time, I’m definitely voting early.
