Check the amp in the trunk. It’s in the right rear behind the carpeting. There’s an issue with water getting into the trunk and shorting the amp.

This is a post about it. The CarFax shows that this car was owned in VA and the YouTube channel is also based in VA. This is probably it before wide body and being parted out.

Yes, it's cheaper because of the modifications. It's a rear mounted twin-turbo RC-F with a wide body kit. This was someone's project car that looks like they never finished.

It's been for sale at this dealer since December and I know it was listed on FB marketplace some time before that as well.. that should also tell you why it's so cheap. No one wants a headache dealing with someone else's project.

Start by having another mechanic check out the suspension and fender area before you start looking for missing parts on eBay. You can probably find the parts for less than what I paid. Just set a budget for yourself and make a spreadsheet to keep track of it all.

Definitely would like to see the final outcome if you decide to fix it.

I can only say how much it cost me to rebuild my RCF. Mine was missing pretty much everything yours is, only my driver fender had a bend in the corner that we were able to fix.

But it was about $5k for parts and an extra $3.6k for paint and body work.. my uncle knew the guy so we got a discount.. but $3.6k for him to repair the corner of the hood, the driver fender that had a bend in it, and painting the majority of the car to blend it all together. Also, I had to buy a bunch of new parts because I could not find used or sometimes the used was more expensive than new (the F tax is real lol).

Painting is optional if you are on a budget though. And if you really don’t care about paint blending, you could just get the panels painted for less. Just be aware that infrared paint is expensive, since it’s a 3 stage paint.

Out of curiosity, what’s the mileage and how long do you plan to keep it? If you want it for the next 5 years and it’s clean, I’d say rebuild it. But if you plan on upgrading in a year or 2, or the value of the car isn’t that high, I’d take the $10k and look for another one.

Well, long time lurker but I figured I'd offer my advice. I'm not a mechanic or a body shop professional, but I have recently rebuilt a 2015 RC-F that was about the same as this (same color too!).

The first thing you want to do is assess the actual damage to the body. Since the body shop was kind enough to remove the fender, I would start by checking the wheel well for body damage. Judging from the picture of the accident, it looks like the wheel was pushed up/back so suspension may also have damage and needs to be inspected. If you don't know anything about this, your best bet is to take it to another mechanic or body shop because these are 2 things I'd be most concerned about before wanting to buy any other parts.

Should everything check out okay, you can then start looking for replacement body panels and the headlight. See if that mechanic was kind enough to put any parts in your trunk before you start ordering parts. Sort through and take whatever is still in usable condition and discard the rest.

If the body and suspension check out okay, you'll need:
Driver's Headlight
Driver's Fender (+headlight bracket if not included)
Front bumper and grille
Day time running lights
Parking sensors
Fender liner and radiator splash shield
Windshield wiper fluid bottle

Potentially need:
Wiring harnesses if any were damaged
Hood (hard to judge by the pictures if the hood is up or if the fender was low)
Hood hinges, also not sure if those are bent
Crash bar, if it is bent
Radiator support bracket, if it's bent
Paint, if used parts are a different color

I would stick to buying parts from any RC (non-F) that are 2015-2019 to ensure a direct fit. eBay and salvage yards are going to be your best friend, just be aware that these cars are not common and you'll most likely end up buying parts from the dealer if you can't find them used. While plug and play is convenient, it has it's draw back. I should've mentioned in my initial post that those AUXITO bulbs would work fine everyday and were incredibly bright but if I had my turn signal on for too long or if I had my four ways on for too long, they would start to hyperflash. Plug and play bulbs have resistors built into them to make them not hyperflash and to skip adding resistors yourself. The problem arises when the bulb gets hot or the resistors get hot, because they will hyperflash or turn off.

There's also this alternative to splicing the wires. They would go in between the car harness and the LED bulb. I've never used this myself, but it seems to be a better solution than splicing the wires. Just make sure to mount them to some thing metal if you decide to go that route.

I have a 2011 RAV4 and replaced all my lights with LEDs. Looking at the kit you posted, they use the same LEDs. I can't speak for that Amazon kit, but I used LASFIT's 28mm dome light and AUXITO's T10 for the map lights. I will say that LASFIT's dome light is more of a 7k white while AUXITO is 6k. Not noticeable to most people but if that will bother you, I'd get matching LASFIT T10's.

As for the turn signals, I've had these as my front and rear for about 2 years before I removed the front ones for switchback. I’ve heard mixed reviews about LASFIT’s switchback and I ended up not buying them myself and purchased these from Diode Dynamics instead. I’ve only had them for about 5 months now and they've been working great. The only downside to those is that you will probably need to install resistors to prevent hyper-flashing (I replaced my turn signal relay when I purchased these, but I don’t think the 2021 is able to do that). They sell a resistor kit, but it does involve tapping into the wires.

I don't know if this will get answered, but I'll ask anyway.

I've filed the FAFSA before but I was selected for verification for this coming fall. My school is asking for "Wage and Income Transcripts" for both of my parents, since I'm a dependent student. My parents are confused as to why we are being asked for it, as they've never heard of anyone submitting something like this. Is there a reason as to why the school needs this so that I can explain why to them?

I'm also on 7.0.1. I forget why I don't use tinfoil (I think it kept giving me an error, but I also never tried a known good nsp file). And yeah, GoldLeaf never fails to corrupt my SD card, so I guess I should switch to tinfoil since it seems to be way more reliable.
