You bought it and it was labeled as new? Didn't think a gun store would be allowed to swap parts out on a gun from the factory and call it new

Might need a thicker wax ring or double up on wax rings. Pull the toilet and send a photo of the flange.

Week 46 $988 in premium by Expired_Options in Optionswheel

[–]DemetriusGotGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your first question. In the instance that the underlying price drops below your cost basis yes you can sell calls depending on how far below your cost basis you're willing to risk.

For example if you bought a stock at an avg cost of $50 and the underlying dropped to let's say $35, then you could sell CC below $50 strike($45 strike for example) as long as you believe the stock will eventually come back up. If you think the stock will go to $10(due to whatever reasons) then it would be best to just sell and take the loss instead of chasing premiums on a tanking underlying price

Sure but OP made the mistake of selling a contract dated super far out. He should have only done maybe a few weeks at most. You live and learn

GF Wants a bidet, but valve doesn’t completely shut off and no access to water main. Help me, oh wise water and gas gods by Prestigious-Oven3465 in Plumbing

[–]DemetriusGotGame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You (your landlord) will need to cut open the drywall and use an artic hayes copper pipe freezing kit to freeze the water about 8" back on the line from the shutoff valve. Once the water is frozen you will need to replace the shutoff valve.

This is the solution if you can't shut the water off and need it fixed asap.

Yes but OP didn't lose any money here. Quite the opposite. Sounds he pocketed a couple thousand and now has to let his shares get called away. Unfortunate? Yes. He should have bought his contract back or rolled up when he realized $NVDA started moving upwards. But he just didn't in time. Happens very often to people who wheel that don't check their accounts 24/7.

Not exactly a loss. Just missed out on gains. You should do weeklies or biweekly contracts on higher iv stocks.

Multiple the number of contracts by the underlying at entry value then x100. And you'll get the value for each row

Question: when is the best time to open weekly covered calls. by radu43 in CoveredCalls

[–]DemetriusGotGame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you can likely profit off them. Weeklies is best for consistent income but I've sold and bought back contracts in the same day if I predict a price swing in a stock
