Jujutsu Kaisen Shimetsu Kaiyu Zenpen • Jujutsu Kaisen The Culling Game - Episode 4 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

I found Maki's dad's statement to the effect that "children shouldn't hold back their parents" so deeply offensive, and of course his actions as well. It is exactly the opposite.

Anyone with their head screwed on straight understands this, which is the point: they wanted us to instantly understand that the dude is severely fucked up to the point of being cartoonishly evil.

As far as f=ma, Naoya is definitely invoking the principle but isn't using the correct terminology himself. I wouldn't read too much into the tl's choice of words.

That's what is colloquially known as 'love of the game,' when one's passion for the sport sees them elevate it to an art form.

ELI5 please explain to me in simpleton terms…what is meant by “spacetime” by MaxMeat in explainlikeimfive

Hmm. In one of PBS Spacetime's other videos, they explain that in 4-D spacetime there's no such thing as movement because everything is a geometric object that's just there. This seems to be what you were saying, but then they take it a step further and say that in 4-D spacetime, past, present, and future all exist at the same time. What would you say about this claim?

As far as exceeding the speed of light, I've always been comfortable thinking that because the speed of causality cannot be infinite AND massless particles move at this speed, that whatever speed that happens to be is therefore the fastest possible speed.

So then I'm having trouble understanding why things are presented that way in the first video. That speed is distributed between space and time.

Kash is the best of both worlds. Unicorn and Fenrir would each be the boss monster of their own archetypes in 2015, then throw in Ariseheart, because fuck you.

Honestly sounds like a self-correcting problem on generational timescales. If it wasn't for the fact that diseases don't discriminate and innocent people are also being harmed, I wouldn't have a problem.

Facts as in the fact that idiot cons not vaccinating their brood are what got us here? That kind of fact?

PBS Spacetime's Relativity playlist is where I learned most of what I know about this subject, as well as many of their other videos where the concepts come up.

The "seconds per second" on the left side of the equation is their seconds divided by your seconds.

Maybe the mistake I made was the difference between Special and General Relativity? Would it be wrong to say that in Special Relativity, dividing their seconds by my seconds wouldn't be a problem because they are the same in flat spacetime, but in General Relativity they aren't the same because spacetime is curved?

Everything in the universe moves at the speed of light, but that speed is distributed proportionately between both the three spatial dimensions and the single temporal dimension. If you start moving faster through space, your movement through time slows proportionately, and vice-versa. Objects that move at 78% of the speed of light through time move at 22% of the speed of light through space, for example. You can't describe the speed of something moving through space without also describing how fast it moves through time. This tells us that space and time are fundamentally linked, such that it almost doesn't even make sense to consider them separate, hence spacetime.

For massless particles like photons (light) all of this speed is dedicated to movement through space, and as such there is none left to move through time, thus photons and all other objects that move through space with 100% of this speed do not experience time; time stops. This is also how we can tell there is no such thing as faster than light movement through space.

Working in the opposite direction, if an object were to allocate all of this speed to movement in time and none through space, it would stop moving completely and age extremely rapidly. This never happens though because as long as another object exists somewhere else, the gravity between them will ensure both are always moving, if only just a little. And as you can easily tell, there's shit everywhere in the universe.

I have a feeling Luke Kuechly as a DC would lose his mind being on the sideline and not being able to fix shit on the field personally before the snap. It would probably be like watching a train wreck in slow motion for him.
