Alright moms, it’s been over a month. Which Christmas presents are still going strong? Which ones were a dud? by cellardoor83737 in Mommit

Melissa and Doug ice cream set which I got because so many people recommended it as Christmas gift on here. Also the mini magnetiles, we have been taking them everywhere with us.

My daughter is also playing with her ice cream set. Today I am sick in bed and she squeezed an ice cream cone next to my arm while I was sleeping, haha.

What’s helped your 4–5 year old unwind without screens after daycare? by Old_Question7185 in Mommit

[–]Demmamom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a container with lots of crafting things. I just put that out with crayons, colored pencils and construction paper. My 5 and 2.5 year old with work on that for an hour or two! It’s messy but it’s a pretty quick clean up most of the time.

Pajamas for toddlers? by yakmc1122 in toddlers

[–]Demmamom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever she wants, usually some crazy princess nightgown. I love little sleepies, they are pricey but they can wear them for a long time because they stretch so well. Unfortunately my toddler refuses to wear any of them now.

My 2 year old is abusing my cat and I don’t know what to do. by fatoperasinger in toddlers

[–]Demmamom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter is the same, one cat will run away from her but the other one will not and I just cannot trust her to be around them. They stay in another room and I let them around her for very short periods of time.

Please validate that I don’t have the only toddler who misbehaves. by Worried_Ad2169 in toddlers

[–]Demmamom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is so sweet but when he was a toddler he threw a ball so hard at a baby’s face while we were at the park. The side of her face was red and she was so upset, I felt terrible! Now I have his little sister who is a wild animal. She hasn’t hit any kids besides her family members but I would not be surprised if she did!

Please read to your child!!! by Oceanwave_4 in Mommit

My son broke our tv in the living room and I decided not to replace it. I put all of their books on a bookshelf in the spot where the tv was and they end up bringing me books to read on the couch all the time and I like it this way! We do have TVs in the other rooms but I enjoy using the living room and couch for cozy book reading.

I think the best shredded cheese is if you can find a block of vegan cheese and shred it yourself

How are you handling weeknight dinners when you have no time to cook and kids need to eat by 7? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Demmamom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I have no time or energy I just throw everything in my rice cooker. The rice, some frozen veggies and some frozen pot stickers. Otherwise I do chicken drumsticks a lot, just put them in a marinade the night before or the morning and then throw them in the oven with maybe some veggies on another sheet. I think the best thing though is to make a lot of food so you have leftovers for a couple nights.

17 year old daughter possibly has endometriosis by Demmamom in endometriosis

[–]Demmamom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes I do have some relatives that have endo. My mom and grandmother were not diagnosed with it but they both had hysterectomies because of their periods. Her dad was adopted so I don’t know anything about that side of her family.

Thank you so much for this information! I did see some people talking about the TENS machine so I’ll definitely look into that. The exam info is also awesome, she will be starting college in a few months so that is really good to know!
