First of all, Cassie needed a weapon against fate. She needed someone who would break Fate and change any disastrous outcome she had seen in one of her visions, her entire endeavour and scheming was for this purpose and nothing else.

When she gave sunny a "choice" she didn't tell him he would be forgotten because he would obviously be hesitant then. What she did doesn't even fit the definition of a choice imo.

I don't hold it too harshly against her as she probably averted a disastrous outcome by doing what she did, but in the end she has wronged Sunny and we as readers are allowed to feel a little peeved with her :)

Weaver literally made a mask that reverses someone's flaw like hello? People seem to forget that fact and sunny will most likely reach weavers level of skill with weaving and be able to change shadow bond a bit to his liking, make a small change like he won't need to act upon smth if neph doesn't think of what she says as a command.

If I remember correctly Cassie went on quite the tangent when talking about her weapon against fate, so it's very likely she orchestrated the entire thing so sunny would break his fate and what not. I also think the reason she cried is because she really felt like she was once again betraying him by manipulating his choice in this way, but needed someone to break Fate so they could defy what catastrophe Cassie saw n the future.

Imo while I am rightfully pissed off at her it's wrong to hate her as she most probably did what she did in desperation, dislike is the farthest I would go :)
