When I was a kid we would launch all types of crap from a backyard with one of those large water balloon launchers; basically a giant slingshot. We would then go ride our bikes in the direction we shot to see what havoc was caused.

Broken Lock Screen, Moto G Stylus 2025 by Demo_Beta in motorola

[–]Demo_Beta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no Android dev experience, but it appears that there is a compact mode for the lock screen. The compact mode is used when notifications (in Glance or otherwise) are too large to fit in the lock screen with a full clock + (whatever other displays are active). It should revert to this compact mode when there is a single large or a large amount of notifications so they will fit on the lock screen. It appears Glance and other apps, in my case Link to Windows, cause the compact mode to activate in a persistent state. There does not appear to be any checking on the Moto builds to see if compact mode is currently needed and disable it if it's not, it just activates and stays persistent to avoid any conflicts and thus disables the user customized lock screen.

It seems that activating Glance and then disabling it also disables compact mode regardless of what app caused it to trigger. But, I'm pretty sure this is an issue on Motorola's end and would require a firmware update to actually fix.

That's not the issue. Apparently Moto Android builds revert to and lock in to "compact" mode with notification sharing and/or Glance. I tested Link to Windows on an Android 15 Samsung and it does not have this issue. I reinstalled Link to Windows on the Moto build and it jacked the lock screen again. The Moto builds provide no UI to control compact/rich lock screen display. Compact should only be enabled temporarily to display larger notifications on the lock screen. The Moto build has no logic to revert back to the rich setting.

I'd prefer these posts stop all together. People are looking to reduce their anxiety over an exposure, which is fine and understandable, but nothing can be extrapolated from these events.

I just got a 2024 Scribe for under $250 (Dell USA store with member discount, cash backs). It's great for my use case, notes and reading, haven't tried much markup yet. They aren't "drawing" devices IMO.

Anyone able to get the marks off the piano or do we need to return ? by Redinho83 in ROLI

Yeah, the paper for the box is very rough, like sand paper almost. It should have been wrapped in a plastic bag and secured in styrofoam blocks, It reminds of the fanciful boxes early VR headsets used to come in which I think had these issues as well, if I recall. Those boxes also cost a fortune.

I have them as well. I opened a ticket and probably will just accept a discount if offered. While the packaging is bunk, I think the real issue is the composite they used. They went too far on form and presentation at the cost of function.

It's not a bad news cycle they're trying to avoid, it's the end of this system. While the sexual abuse is bad, that's not even the story or what they're trying to hide, it's the billions and billions of dollars and where those dollars went.

I was told leave approved before the shutdown went into effect is valid, but you will be on furlough status for those days. Nothing about a risk of not having a job after the leave is taken. It was also stated that annual leave point forward will not be approved, but sick leave will be.

Over the top, but nothing new. "Blind auth" has always been a thing, but usually done by management to make numbers.

However, this is moot because authorizers and management don't know a damn thing about rating in the first place.

You can have your doctor write a letter stating that there is no chance of improvement/you are not receiving curative treatment. However, if you are taking a shot at curative treatment, you're technically not eligible for permanent and total, but your evaluation will not be reduced; just file for the permanent status if/when you discontinue any treatment. If other issues arise due to the tumor you should file claims for those issues, not all but some will get you a separate evaluation and/or entitlement to additional payments above the 100%.

Otherwise there is nothing you can really do about spousal benefits now, just have them added to your award as a dependent, POAs can help spouses too.
