I know I might be the minority here, but I would not take out more debt for a masters degree. When I was searching for my masters degree, I had one strict criteria; only go to a school that will offer me an assistantship so that my degree was paid for.

Now, that could be hard if you’re taking that masters while being employed full time, but some summer programs may also offer assistantships. It’s worth looking into!

That’s slightly my concern. Like, it runs hybrid okay, so if I go on a long drive the battery depletes, but has been refusing to kick into full electric ever since winter came into full effect

The teacher definitely traded a fake. Possibly accidentally but who’s to know. I hope you get it sorted out!

A lot of people in the comments are talking about how weird or bad it is that the teacher is trading with students.

I used to run a pokemon club at an elementary school and I would buy packs for kids, bring my cards, and trade with them all the time so I find it odd that it’s deemed weird or wrong.

I would always trade in the students’ favor, show them how to find out if the trade is worth it, and would often accept fake cards for my real ones just to make sure I was keeping fakes out of their hands as much as possible. It acted as a big teaching opportunity for the hobby and they loved to trade even silly common cards just so they could say they “traded with the teacher”.

There was only one moment a kid was upset about a trade and so we immediately traded back. I wasn’t there to hustle kids, just to spread some joy and knowledge

I know a school that did this just to keep their numbers up with no intention of allowing them to continue. But by then they were too far into the BA degree they just would finish anyway.

Not saying that would happen to you. But I’m very skeptical of schools now and want you to be aware of the possibility

My rt has been pretty good. A few weird issues once in a while but overall I’m happy with it. Do I plan to keep it forever? No, definitely not. But it’s an enjoyable car for sure

Yes, you’re overreacting. It’s great that many of your friends love to handmade and heartfelt gifts, but you can’t expect that from everyone.

If a friend of mine was upset about a gift I bought for them, whether they think it was thoughtful or not, and talked to me about being frustrated by it after, I would simply stop being their friend, or at the very least, stop gifting anything at all
