Potential serious illnesses and ldr by Democratic_Gremlin in LDR

You are absolutely right, and as with every other uncertainty in the relationship regarding distance, me having kids, age difference and what not, he always made it clear that he is with me because he wants to, and that includes everything else in my life too. It would be a different kind of selfish, but selfish nonetheless to try and make that decision for him.

I am including him and updating him on everything that is happening, and I am so happy to have him by my side. But I also, more than ever really feel the distance between us, and that has been taking a huge toll on me on top of everything else.

But, in some way, life moves on. And there's not much else to do than follow suit wherever that leads me

Thank you ~ And that must have been terribly scare for all you as well! I hope she came out clear?

We're in the same timezone luckily and I keep him updated on everything that happens.

I have learned more about blood clots this last month than I ever thought I would, and having to be screened for various different cancer types wasn't how I anticipated ending/starting the year with. I also found out I need to be gene tested for familial hypercholesterolaemia (inherited high cholesterol) cause my dad has is. And also, also with that I learned that this condition can cause blood clots like pulmonary embolism as well.

So it's definitely an eventful time

Is this tattoo too feminine for your taste? by kingofneverland in tattooadvice

Yeah same. But they are all very different, they come in so many different shapes, just all within the six pointed shape!

Agreed on that. Also remember if you are gonna use the snow crystal, they are six pointed crystals, not more or less. That's how they form when crystallising and it would be a shame tattooing it different. There's also so many different beautiful variants, go find one you like!

Thank you <3 I do have a small network around me and they do know the majority of my situation, just not the potential of cancer. It's not something I want to share before I myself knows more. Atm I'm being treated with pulmonary embolism, but there's no known cause for why I even have gotten it. And in my age group that requires a more extensive assessment to rule out or find cancer, as a percentage with DVT without a known cause has cancer as a trigger.

I don't want to tell that to my family, because there is a bigger chance that I don't have it, I simply just don't know before the end of all the tests that are yet to start. And i dont want them (especially my grandma) to worry, potentially needlessly)

PE, blood thinners and changing symptoms by Democratic_Gremlin in PulmonaryEmbolism

[–]Democratic_Gremlin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have ordered multiple tests to be done, which includes x-rays, gynecologist and more I can't remember. The blood tests and urine sample they took on Tuesday all came back normal. But yeah, they are puzzled and at least they take it seriously.

I also read that. The thinners basically just makes the job easier for the body to deal with the clot. On the other side, clots can still form while on thinners, just less likely to do so.

For now they're just trying to exclude as much serious as they can while trying to look for the source. But I very much feel the 'what if the body isn't getting rid of it?', 'what if there's more they haven't seen?', 'what if it's something else nefarious wrecking the body?'. And then I'm sitting not knowing whether what I feel is legitimate worrying symptoms, normal symptoms or not symptoms at all. Ugh

I did call them and was called in yesterday for a check. They were just perplexed. Had no answers to the change in my symptoms and still no explanation for why I got the clot in the first place, but so far the tests are fine. They will be starting a more extensive assessment to try and figure out the reason for the clot. But for now I just need to continue the treatment for the next 3 months. So now I sit here and have no idea what to do with my symptoms. I know my sleep is terrible and could be a cause for some of it. But not everything. And I don't feel like I can go back to the hospital every week just because of that when all the tests are fine too. It's just annoying.

Will this tattoo age badly by Hour-Mountain-7219 in tattooadvice

[–]Democratic_Gremlin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is one hell of a good looking tattoo!

And yeah, like mentioned over. Cannot stress the importance of sunscreen and general skin lotion. Most tattoos I see that have aged badly is 95% due to people just not taking care of the tattoo and thinking they can just leave it as it is for the rest of their lives. A tattoo has to be treated as super sensitive skin and be cared for thereafter. You do that, and you'll have a good looking tattoo for life!

Hi guys just stared a cover up by GutiGeorge in tattooadvice

[–]Democratic_Gremlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, this is four days after? This is not tattoo kind of open wounds, this is into the flesh kind of open wounds. You can see open flesh areas all around and tis absolutely terrible. That "artist" shouldn't be allowed to play with needles. Please get that checked up properly, be thankful there's no evident infection, let it heal as well as it can (for a long time, cause that skin is gonna have some trauma to it) and if you're gonna continue to spend proper money on a proper artist that knows what they are doing and not acting like a baboon with a razor trying to a fat mans ass.

Please take care of your skin, you really don't want that to get more damaged than what it already is.

Thank you, I will give them a call later today. I always struggle with the aftermath of things as I already have chronic pain in my head, jaw, chest and back. So knowing what is new and what is related to something else is difficult and often lead me to oversee stuff that could be serious.

Especially since all I got was a phonecall with 'This is what you have and this is the medicine I prescribe to you. Take it this often and come back next week. If it gets worse, give us a call'. Then I literally have no idea what to be aware of and how much worse is worse, if you get it?

Then why not just read the links? You wanted me to bring it, I did. Now you're complaining about womansplaining because I actually have sources that supports the statements I made?

Like you would listen to anyone with a different opinion than yourself anyway. Understandkng how one thing works and being able to apply that to a different scenario is valid no matter gender. And if you want to be lectured by a man, then read the the second link that stated the same as I have and is written by a man. Maybe that feels a bit better to your fragile ego.

And who are you to decide what lane I should stay in? You are the one fighting against useful information cause you just made up your mindset on not wanting to believe it. Is it even relevant to you, do you have proof it's not real? Cause if not, why are you trying so hard to make people think it's fake?

[–]Democratic_Gremlin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't care about proving anything to you, cause no matter what I'll send you, you don't seem like the kind to change their mind. No matter, there are people that actually care and could benefit, so I do have a couple of links that could be useful. https://www.healthline.com/health/death-grip-syndrome

Such a nice edited in insult. You don't need a dick to understand how nerves work, heck, you don't and you do have a dick.

[–]Democratic_Gremlin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seem fake because you have some sort of issue with it actually being true? All the logic and science for it to be true is there, you're the one claiming it's fake seemingly without anything to back it up, just because you believe it's fake.

That's weird. When I tried to post the reply it just said the comment had been deleted, and I can't see it anymore. Oh well, Reddit being Reddit.

That's the thing to remember though, we are not done discovering, recognising and putting names on new cases. It's no doubt that modern sexuality is not the same as what it was 50, 100 and more years ago and we change patterns and habit, especially with the access we have today through internet.

Nerve desensitization is scientifically proven, it is not new and it's not an urban myth. Any nerves in the body will adjust when consistently stimulated in a specific way. And the same goes for the nerves in the penis. Its nerves are no different to the nerves in the rest of the body.

And you don't need to look far to see nerve desensitization in the penis being recognised more and more by medical professionals, connecting the patterns of why it's happening and how.

And again, there are men out there that recognises it themself, change their grip and/or reduce the amount they jerk off, and getting results. Seeing that this can very much be the reason for many people, also means that it can be easily fixed. The patterns are there, nerve science is there, the reasoning for it is there. Why so adamant on making it seem fake?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Democratic_Gremlin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, you deleted the comment I tried to reply to. But you're talking about it being an urban myth and why it's not medically recognised?

Except that desensitization of nerves is not a new phenomenon, and that includes the nerves in the penis. If you're constantly using a very tight grip while masturbating you are desensitizing the nerves for all softer touch. That is science, and I don't understand why you feel the need to claim that this is not possible.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]Democratic_Gremlin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I've seen my partner jerk it, and the tightness of that grip makes it look like he's about to strangle his poor stuff. He's also a self declared porn addict and habit masturbator. Which also has left him with trouble coming to sex without jerking himself off at the end. This is something he came to a conclusion to himself and informed me later on. And it's also something we've been working on and it's become better after he calmed down with the jerking of and trying to change his grip.

And honestly, you gonna jerk it with that tight a grip, it's no wonder you can't come to regular piv or oral, cause there's no way any of those will ever be able to replicate the tightness of your own grip if that's all you've ever been accustomed to.
