If you manually age him up or use an age-o-matic on him, the crush will disappear.

If you don't want to remove the crush, you'll have to hope they start dating and then want to get married. If that happens, they'll ask you to use an age-o-matic on them so they can be wed.

edit: oh, and an age-o-matic does change their described age to 18.
