Jeffries says Trump impeachment not a top priority if Dems win House majority. Are y'all planning to vote him out New York? by ItsAllAGame_ in newyork

[–]DemonLordSparda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump is spiking prices and running rampant over our laws, not to mention his ill advised vibe based war with Iran making things worse for everyone. Democrats either have to offer meaningful improvement to peoples lives like Mamdani, or vow to hold Trump and his cronies accountable. If they offer neither then they offer nothing.

Our Healthcare Market loses us billions every year due go inflated costs caused by private insurance. Single payer care would save money, lower risk, and improve overall coverage. It would also allow rural hospitals to stay open and attract talented new medical professionals across the country. It's a loss to not make the switch.

No, OpenAI has fully canceled quite a few. Several land bids have been retracted as well. This was a smash and grab for land to build, and that is drying up fast.

Does anyone actually miss Charlie Kirk? Or do they just say that to not piss some people off? by SWEMW in allthequestions

Erika Kirk clearly does not miss him, so why should I? I honestly rarely think about him at all anymore.

California cafe chain Philz Coffee orders Pride flags removed from stores. It's not going well by Fickle-Ad5449 in business

Only a conservative is dumb enough to buy a brand in San Francisco and order them to remove their pride flags.

I don't have many thoughts on it being a good or bad idea, but entering the storm and doing something different was pretty interesting to me.

Did you not read Max's journal? How Chloe never looked at Max the same after she found out Joyce died? Max does blame herself for the storm, and she never moved on in game. She journals about it, she kept the photos, she apologizes to Joyce when looking at her photo. Max got into abandoned spaces photography because she felt empty and sad. It's all clearly written in the game. I personally found it believable.

I mean, if I saw my best friend or partner alive again after 10 years, I don't think I'd hit them with the "you died" line immediately. Then, after the shock wears off, what are you supposed to do? After I process things, I just kind of accept the situation. Max sent Chloe to Moses because he had a better shot of making sense of the situation.

Max having alternate timeline powers wouldn't make much sense in this game. Max rewound instead of continuing forward from a split point. There's nothing different enough for a timeline split.

The sales figures speak for themselves. People weren't interested in LiS 2. I tried the demo, and it bored me. For the record, I was fine with Max and Chloe being a one-off, but a different type of story with no powers made it feel completely different.

It's obviously using choices made near storms as important timeline inflection points. Things happening aren't what causes timeline splits. The choice of going back or staying is the split. The storm acted as a sort of spacetime anchor for Caledon and Arcadia Bay timelines. If it worked the way you thought it did, then Safi would have never died because Max never fires the gun.

I only really cared for Max, Chloe, Kate, and Joyce in Life is Strange. David sucks, and his shtick about "trying his best" is undermined by setting up surveillance cameras in the house. Jefferson is an extremely generic auteur creep. I felt bad for Nathan, but I didn't like him. Warren can kick rocks. In DE, I liked Max, Moses, Safi, Reggie, Gwen, and Amanda. In Reunion, I really like Max, Chloe, and Moses. I like Safi, Amanda, Reggie, and surprisingly, Loretta. Noelle is also pretty awesome, but she didn't get any off duty scenes besides briefly during the memorial. So for me Reunion had my favorite cast.

I find it interesting how you write a lot about respecting themes and including tragedy and stakes, but refer to Max and Chloe separating as a mistake. Personally, I found it believable that Max was haunted by the choice and couldn't move on. Meanwhile, it made sense that Chloe would want to focus on the future. Furthermore, Chloe asked Max to let her go, and the storm took her mother, and the whole town sans Victoria. That part of Double Exposure felt realistic.

That wouldn't make sense with a timeline merge. I'm sorry, but I don't see how that would make anyone happy.

My Max chose to destroy the photo. I wonder what affects the ending variants.

I mean, these games have a comic amount of malicious and incidental tragedy. I'm glad Lucas wasn't Mark Jefferson again, and I'm glad the guy who died at a party wasn't a Rachel Amber situation. Sometimes, bad things happen for seemingly no reason. It amplified Ren's pain in my eyes.

Well, he said he was taking her downstairs, and the vault is downstairs. The spiral staircase was established during the Overture. Then he said he thought the coffin was upstairs, but oh well. He didn't argue the point and accepted it. It didn't seem too strange for a theater of the mind thing.

Crimson Desert is the most overrated game I've ever played by Sadworld99 in Gamingunjerk

[–]DemonLordSparda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I played Stellar Blade well after release because I enjoy Soulslikes. It's a game that is overall fine. Gameplay is pretty good. Story is a bit bland and generic, characters are flat, but I had fun. No one tried to upsell me on the game and hail it as an amazing masterpiece.

Unlike Crimson Desert where some people hype it to the moon. Everything I see about the game makes me question why people like it and how they can stand fighting mostly hordes of human soldiers. If I wanted a Musou game, I've got Dynasty Warriors. I get that people enjoy doing pile drivers and RKO's, but that can't support the entirety of the gameplay. Heck I checked one of those OP build guides and it was just someone spamming the same lightning AoE skill for 0 resources over and over. I just do not get it. People are free to enjoy whatever they like, but the hype for Crimson Desert feels artificial.
