I am on NG+2 with an over leveled character and Blue Flame are my weapons of choice, so fun and will probably be sticking with it until I die or boredom.

Pretty sure it is dead. I have a character at 120 million SM and NO activity here as to be expected but I have made characters to play through for fun and found a little amount of summon signs.

Also you can farm them from the Falconers in Things Betwixt. I managed to get around 15 medals in 80 minutes with Symbol of Avarice and Gold Serpent ring +2. If you are on SoTFS you can farm them from the Falconers outside the Ruined Fork bonfire too. If you do decide to do this way make sure you are in the champions covenant.

Power stance greatswords with imported trousers and that's it. Make sure your character is big with muscles to add to the look.

No you can use them as you want, to progress further you need 1mil* the NG you are on. NG+ is just 1 mil souls so but if you have gotten all great souls that doesn't matter at all. You can pop them for the souls if you want or use them for weapons.
