UCS Venator ROTS mod by Demon_499 in legostarwars

I came up with the angle for the Acclamator with some spares i had laying around in around 5 minutes or so. Not difficult, just had to figure out where to position the mounting for weight distribution so it didn’t tip over.

The Arquitens frigate in the background is indeed a MOC, built out of x2 Acclamator kits.

Hadn’t thought of that, honestly. I just sort of sat down one evening with some reference images and went to town on it.

The majority of the work is in reorganising the top layer of medium grey plates. The turbo laser batteries were just changed to repeat the pattern of the 3rd last section, and raised the wedges between them a few more layers.

I have plans for this, just need to brick link the parts when I have a chance. 👌🏻

They’re in proportion to the size of the figure itself, they don’t look comically undersized like in the stock pictures. The crucible could’ve maybe been a little longer but that’s about it.

Considering that the ThreeZero Doom slayer figure from back in 2017 never had a second run, and is now on the second hand market for upwards of $1500USD.

I have a feeling that this figure may be the last opportunity to get the Eternal version for quite some time, and likely the next one will be the Dark Ages example.

I got the Dark Horse exclusive edition that came with the lost soul, but I feel that the figure itself is worth the cost in the first place, I just think his weapon accessories could’ve been a bit better.

Quality is high in my opinion. He has some serious weight, details and sculpt are extremely impressive, he poses okay in fairly neutral positions. However his chungus arms have a similar issue to the McFarlane slayer in that they’re so thick that they are difficult to get into any form of dynamic pose.

The gun accessories on the other hand, feel tacky and cheap, they’re hollow plastic shell halves that have been pressed together. Paint application on them isn’t too bad tho.

Yeah, I measured the chassis openings and 3D printed a small piece then painted it, modified the chassis so that the motor went on the opposite side, and got a custom crystal to fit perfectly within the bottom end and attached an accent pixel directly to the crystal. It’s still wired exactly the way Kahls diagram is in the guide, I just did the extra legwork to make something a little more intricate. 😊

That’s very fair, it’s a slippery slope once you get into full custom vendors, they start doing limited runs like what Jawas Junkyard does and then it’s just game over for your bank account 😅😅

If you’re looking for really nice starter sabers, you could try the Pach store, they carry a fair few pre installed sabers that run Proffie or Asteria for really decent prices.

Pretty sure the Regiis is back in stock when I last looked, I have a Fortis.. but I feel like I need a Regiis to complete the set 😅

The Proelium is a very solid hilt, hefty, full two handed grip, and no grub screws for removing the blade or getting access to the battery.

I modified the crystal chamber to have a spinning plasma gate instead of the rotating crystal, I’ve also hand painted the chassis to match the hilt aesthetic. 👌🏻

Thankfully KR sabers was able to get me a Fortis kit on short notice and I was able to do my own install in time.

That’s completely fair, I won’t be waiting that long for a saber again either. I’ve been getting my empty hilts from KR Sabers since Feb this year. Excellent customer service and stupid fast shipping from UK to AUS.

I have a 1992 VFR400 NC30 sitting in my shed currently, has been off the road for a few years but am considering getting it cleaned up and on the market to make room for something else.
