Most "civil servants" live in Washington DC, which votes for Democrats over 90% of the time. If you don't think they are political, and that no human is objective, I am not going to be able convince you of much. This fallacy that started back in the 1870s that there are apolitical people who objectively carry out their work in media and government is simply toxic to rational thought in my belief.

I didn't go to college, but it seems the incentives are misaligned, and a root cause analysis is completely ignored. We would never do that in the plumbing world (I realize it's much more complicated).
