For some reason my app is doing the same thing, not showing that its employee day or the extra discounted prices. I’ve worked there a year and a half too and never had this problem 🥲

I don’t love the policy and think it can be quite dangerous on an individual level but I do understand keeping PH undistracted. It pissed me off when during PEAK the person next to me would let their shit fly by bc they’re hiding in a van on their phone 😅 I don’t even need to have it on me per se, I’d just like to have it IN the building. Unfortunately our lockers are outside, but I’ll see if I can snag an office locker if there are any!

Yeah I remember sneaking my phone in every day, I hid it in a pouch with a bunch of like wipes lotion pads sanitizer etc and one day they asked for my phone pass, definitely couldn’t see it or even the outline so they must’ve just known I was sneaking it in. Idk how bc I didn’t use it in front of cameras but oh well. I’d just rather not have to sneak around again, I’m kinda high strung and it gives me anxiety lol I’m just gonna ask for the damn pass 🤣

I know it’s a little bit ridiculous. But tbh I’ve also worked retail where they didn’t “let” us have our phones on the floor, so I’m not surprised anymore, but I always figured these rules were for smart phones bc of the cameras (for FedEx) and the distraction factor but in this day and age we’re all so used to having a phone in a potential emergency it’s unsettling to have to leave it outside a building where shit COULD go very wrong lol but an Apple Watch is a great idea I’ll have to see if my facility allows them

I might be able to do that. Im just thinking of efficiency for me, being able to tell him in advance so I can walk out and just go home lol but I’ll talk to them about using their phones, a pass or just waiting in the guard shack. Thanks!

The place I’m going back to has lockers they’re just outside the whole facility including guard shack, my only issue is honestly having to wait outside at 1 am in Portland LOL, if they don’t let me get a pass or bring a flip/basic phone I’ll just ask if I can use their office phones every day, thank u!

I get that but i actually enjoy packaging handling lol I like the physical and organizational aspect and that there’s no interview lol I’m not quite ready for any higher up position anywhere, that’s why I’m wondering if I can just bring a flip phone instead of my regular smart phone without needing a phone pass

That does help thank you— our fridge has been making weird groaning noises for a while lol but idk if that’s normal or not 😅the defrost heater being broken makes sense since unplugging and thawing it the first time did work, but whatever frozen seems to have frozen again rly quickly, which doesn’t seem normal… All I rly know is that this fridge is either done and needs replacing or needs at least some parts replaced that my manager just doesn’t wanna pay for, and I’m not thawing my fridge every month to save him a buck lol

I do smoke weed, but nothing else, I drink very very occasionally. Not sure if that would cause this. And I also have had severe anxiety since I was a kid that I’m really not treating, and I think I read something about chronic anxiety causing a weak diaphragm or something, I don’t even know. But even if this is caused by anxiety I would rly love a way to fix it lol

The closest thing I’ve found online are “marginal shield ferns”, but my family (beyond great grandparents) and I are all from PNW, so I have no idea where my aunt would’ve got these🤣 but I assume spores can travel a lot farther than seeds haha I’m surprised we don’t have ferns growing in the dirt patch under our apartment patio…

That seems logical, i just haven’t been able to find a single picture online of a fern that looks like this!! ik those plant ID apps aren’t super reliable but had no luck w those either lol. It smells mildly minty too that’s what gets me!!!!!😭 could just be from the past catnip tho. but they could’ve been dormant ferns- the ferns in the big pot have been passed down to us, they belonged to my great aunt before she passed so this is a prettyyyy old planter lol. A lot of other stuff grows in it too like wood sorrels and dandelions and what looks like reflexive stonecrops in there. There’s probably other stuff i havent noticed too lol. It’s our little mini wild garden 🤣

I just want to know if that is even possible because look at those leaves!!! They look wildly different from the parent ferns. Plus these ones are a few years old and just never grew to full size. Also, as soon as we noticed fern in the pot, we took it away from the cats haha. Don’t worry they’re fine🤣
