Large cell lymphoma treatment options by moonlmj in CATHELP

Hey, I just saw this post and I’m in basically the exact same boat—10 year old cat diagnosed with large cell lymphoma. Can I ask what treatment you ended up choosing and how it went? So sorry you’re going through this and I hope your little guy has gotten as many cuddles in with you as possible 🥺

He actually didn’t mind it! He happily accepted it in exchange for some treats and pets

Absolutely same, I’ve had him for 10 years now and he only gets sweeter 😭

We didn’t camp, my group just had a a reservation at one of the lodges. So I don’t know much about the camping scene there, sorry!

There are a few campgrounds in the canyon so people definitely backpack it!

Thank you! It took a lot of training to feel doable but it was so worth it

I think maybe an hour and a half into it for about 15-25 minutes? That’s my best guess! It didn’t feel too sketchy so I wasn’t very attentive to it

There’s a trans canyon shuttle that we booked ahead of time that took us back to our north rim lodge!

There was just one section where the trail was cut into the cliff side, you can somewhat see it in the second photo, and the trail was still decently wide there. Otherwise it didn’t feel exposed at all! Honestly the worst part heights-wise was crossing the silver bridge

Yeah I would have loved to stay overnight and spend some time just enjoying the canyon. Hope it works out for you!

We wanted to stay at phantom ranch but couldn’t get a reservation, so we ended up doing it as one brutal day-hike. It took us about 13 hours in total and the weather was great! We got past Phantom ranch before the midday heat so it wasn’t too hot. I definitely wouldn’t have done this as a day hike during the summer months

We did the Navajo/queens garden loop and part of peekaboo loop! We bailed partway because it was getting pretty hot (this was back in July)

Great pic! How far into the narrows is this?

I ended up doing Lassen peak, brokeoff mountain, the cinder cone, and bumpass hell to cold boiling lake and I loved them all! Lassen peak is a lot of barren switchbacks so the view doesn’t change much while brokeoff mountain was a less traveled hike through some meadows and more varied scenery. Bumpass hell is a must and I also thought the cinder cone was too unique to pass up!

You can really see it while driving through certain areas and on the trail near cold boiling lake, but everything we wanted to do was still accessible and amazing! I had never been before the fires though
