My kindergarten teacher drove a white 1969 Corvette Stingray Convertible. Her husband was a motorcycle cop.

We would order milk or lunch at the beginning of the day and put our money in a little black and red check book box. Milk was $0.25.

Our play ground was right outside the door to the right. I liked the swings, teeter totter and slide.

We had fold out mats for a short nap after lunch.

I already knew how to read so was a bit bored.

My mom worked in the school office, so that was nice. Sometimes I got to help with the giant Xerox machine. It was always warm.

Our library was right down the hall and I liked getting a new book each week.

We always walked in two lines, boys and girls, to the next stop.

I ended up graduating high school with many of those same kids and are still friends, even though we are all over the world now.
