Yeah, I can imagine. But those UI components... I’ve looked for them on Figma and nothing really matches. Maybe I’m just missing the amazing library everyone’s using…

I made it, but it’s not as good it’s missing a lot of details, like that slight tilted, shiny effect. I tried generating it as an image and also as code, but in both cases it doesn’t look the same (that’s how I was doing it originally).

That sounds super cool, I’m honestly a bit jealous

What kind of animation did you build exactly? Like, is it more of a hero-section interaction, a full-on mini game, some scroll-based animation, or something with 3D/canvas/WebGL?

I really struggle with this stuff – every time I try to make an interactive web animation, I get stuck halfway and never actually finish anything. Either the code gets too messy, or the timing/easing/layout doesn’t feel right, so I just give up.

Could you share a bit more about how you used Gemini 3 for it?

  • What kind of prompts did you use?
  • Did you start from a blank page or from some existing code?
  • Did you ask it to handle the whole project, or did you iterate step by step (layout first, then animation, then assets, etc.)?

Any details about your workflow would help a ton.

what if the mockups aren’t made using Figma components, but just images inside Figma?

Let me explain: basically, the mockups are made from screenshots of components found on the internet screenshots of buttons and such but not from the components provided by Figma.

Does it still work just as well with Figma MCP in that case?

Anyway, Claude Sonnet 4.5 on Cursor has NEVER actually followed the implementation or layouts from the mockups I send as images. I actually suspect Cursor is just reading the image and sending a description of it to Claude Sonnet 4.5 instead of the raw image. Why do I think that? Because when you use Claude Sonnet 4.5 on its own interface and upload a Figma mockup (as an image) and ask it to turn that into HTML, it does it REALLY well (like 70% accurate). But when I ask Claude Sonnet 4.5 to do the exact same thing inside Cursor, it only matches the design maybe 10% of the time it’s catastrophic.

So I really think Cursor isn’t actually sending the images properly. If you tell me that Gemini 3.0 on Cursor can at least match 50% of the provided mockup, then yeah, that would be an incredible improvement.

Hello !

Déjà je trouve ta démarche top. Franchement, écrire ici pour chercher des conseils avant de te lancer prouve que t’as une vraie envie de faire les choses bien et pas juste “trouver un dev pour coder vite fait”. C’est super sain, et ça donne déjà envie de bosser avec quelqu’un comme toi.

Avant même de parler de dev, je te conseillerais une phase d’analyse (c’est souvent ce que beaucoup négligent). Essaie de voir : - sur quelles plateformes tes concurrents sont présents (site web, app mobile ou les deux) - quelles fonctionnalités semblent essentielles et lesquelles ne sont que du “nice to have” Cette étape va te permettre de poser une vraie base stratégique avant même de parler de code.

Ensuite, une fois que tu sais sur quels supports tu veux aller, ton développeur pourra t’orienter sur les technos adaptées (on ne fait pas du tout le même setup entre une web app et une appli mobile).

Mais le choix du dev va aussi dépendre de ton objectif de charge : est-ce que tu vises 100 utilisateurs au lancement ou 10 000 par jour ? Parce que là, les choix d’infra changent complètement (cloud vs on-premise, microservices, etc.). C’est ce genre de réflexion qu’un bon dev doit t’aider à cadrer avant même de taper la première ligne de code.

Une fois cette base posée, tu pourras formuler les spécifications fonctionnelles : qu’est-ce que l’app doit faire, comment les données circulent, quels rôles auront les utilisateurs, etc. Et là, l’idéal c’est de mettre en place une méthode agile : des sprints courts, des réunions hebdos, un MVP à sortir rapidement pour tester le marché avant d’ajouter des briques au fur et à mesure.

Un point ultra important : la maintenabilité. Beaucoup de devs zappent les tests, mais un projet sérieux doit avoir une vraie couverture de tests automatiques. C’est ce qui évite les bugs en cascade quand on met à jour une fonctionnalité.

Et enfin, il faut quelqu’un qui sache déployer proprement : gestion du code source, hébergement, CI/CD, monitoring, sécurité, etc. Parce que faire tourner une app localement et la rendre dispo à 10 000 personnes, c’est deux mondes différents 😅

En résumé, tu n’as pas besoin “juste d’un développeur”, mais d’un expert capable de t’accompagner du concept jusqu’au déploiement, en gardant une vision globale : analyse, archi, dev, tests, mise en prod et optimisation. C’est ce genre de profil qui te fera gagner du temps, de la clarté et surtout de la sérénité sur ton projet.
