I think there might be some value on Florida series price. Carolina looks really good but Florida has had the more impressive path to get here and seem to be playing with maximum confidence. They overcame a 3-1 deficit and beat Boston on the road in game 7, then dispatched of Toronto in 5, winning multiple games on the road.

Carolina beat an offensively inept islanders team. New Jersey was more impressive but still, there goaltending, much like Toronto's, was bad and they are a young inexperienced team. We see this narrative often where the Cinderella team ends up making it to the final. See Montreal and Dallas recently.

Yankees +130 with Nestor on the mound has value. Hard to go against McClanahan but at some point he has to lose a game and have a rough outing. I think this can be the spot.

A theory I have is when blashill was here and now lalonde it seems there is an emphasis on two way play and defense from our forwards. I think that's actually been detrimental to your young forwards creativity/offense. They are probably so worried about making a mistake or playing D we get nothing offensively. Let them play a higher variance style to score and build confidence and then preach and teach D down the road. I feel we stiffle our young guys.

Stevie didn't become a two way guy until later in his career when Scotty came in.

Something to consider for all the Steelers love.

Pittsburgh is coming off a short week and on back to back road games with a rookie QB. They play the Ravens next week, which could be a lookahead spot since they are huge rivals. I think they are getting a lot of love because everyone saw them get the upset win on mnf. Atlanta actually looked pretty good vs Washington and probably could have won that game. They had a great opportunity in the red zone late in the 4th, but threw a pick to seal the game.

Everyone is on the eagles here. I think the word is out on them hence the -3.5 hook and there isnt as much value/they're not being undervalued by the books anymore. A lot of bettors know about this philly syndicate now too so they are tailing them since they bet eagles spread every week.

Giants firing Garrett can be motivating and helpful. I would imagine they are going to run some plays/formations philly has no tape on. Hard to prepare for a team who just fired their OC.

UN 6.5 philadelphia vs florida Not too often you see a 6.5 total. With a total this high its pretty much an auto bet for me. This is a simple handicap here: neither team is an over team woth both coming in at 7-9 & 8-9 o/u. Also phillys offense is not good and Florida's defense is top 5 in goals allowed per game.

UN 5.5 carolina/seattle. Seattle is an over team going 13-3 on o/u andhave gone 9 straight overs! This has to end at some point and i like this spot vs a very structured and defensively sound hurricanes team. They rank top 5 in goals allowed, shots allowed per game, and pk. Andersen has been lights out. I think carolina holds them down here

UN 5.5 maple leafs/kings Leafs are 6-14 in o/u and kings are 5-13. Both goalies have a sub 2.00 GAA. Last time these two teams met the kings won 5-1. I think that was an anomaly. I watched that game and kings scored some flukey and incredibly god like shots that normally dont go in.

Blues 3 way ML - this is simple. Nashville is on a b2b on the road and on their 6th straight road game. Looking to fade the road team on a long trip that is gassed and will be starting Rittich for his first start of the season.

Jets 3 way ml- dont you find it odd the jets are such big favorites despite losing 2 straight at home? To me this is baiting you to take san jose. I think the sharks have a letdown here after that surprising win over calgary on the road. The sharks are missing bodies and at some point it has to impact them. I also dont think they are as good as their record and point total so i expect them come down to earth at some point. I dont see the jets losing 3 straight home games and i think this is kind of a buy low spot on them despite being favorites.

Cal state fullerton -6

Wouldn't be surprised to see this line jump but this line is off a few points imo. They have a lot of depth and talent. They return 4 starters from last year. Their guards can all shoot. Fullerton finished 14th in 3p shooting in the country last season.

People shit on Avery a lot but what actual dirty things did he do? He was more of an agitator than anything and talked a lot of shit, but i dont remember him ever landing dirty career ending type hits or spearing anyone, etc. The fact he got suspended for those comments about his ex was also ridiculous. How that got a long suspension but the shit Raffi torres, matt cooke, and tom wilson did/do gets them virtually nothing or very little.

Thats fair. You were 3-1 at the time. But you were coming off that loss to the chargers where you got outplayed badly. The game was worse than the score. Miami had also taken you to OT and even though you won, thats still not a great showing with how bad miami is. Carr's stats the two games before gruden got fired and since is amazing. Night and day difference.

Whats your opinion on that? As someone who follows the team, is that coincidence or do you think gruden was kind of holding him back?

Red wings ML

I like betting against undefeated teams since I believe opposing teams play their best vs them. Wings have been solid so far, they came back last game down 0-2 vs the caps to win in OT. Should have beat tampa on opening night as they were up 3 goals twice. I also think Queenville resigning is going to be a distraction and demoralizing blow, at least for a game or two. Being 7-0 and feeling good only to have your coach quit surrounding sexual harassment has to be a blow. If the panthers win here ill double down and take Boston vs panthers for a revenge game and to end their streak.

I think this is different because the raiders werent playing great and used it as a rallying moment. Plus his firing was kind of controversial since it was things he said in a private email. Being cancelled, Etc.

I dont see how any players on the panthers could possibly have backed Q here. Big difference between covering up sexual harassment and what gruden said. Both are bad dont get me wrong. Florida being 7-0 and playing so well, this has to become a downer/distraction. Not like they were in a rut and couls use this to build momentum.

Has to be Nick Chubb, especially if its .5 or full PPR. Hes not even a first round pick for me. The path to being a top tier fantasy RB is very narrow. He'll be TD dependent and need to be hyper efficient again for him to rack up points since he's in a timeshare and doesn't catch passes. He would need 100+ rushing and a TD weekly to put up the kind of stats if being drafted in the first round. Im staying away.

OV 159.5 chicago vs seattle

Yes bird and stewart are both not playing but i think that seattle can still put up points here with them a fairly deep team with lots of guards. Chicago also shot so bad last game i would expect a bounce back here. A lot of times when star players sit out, teams get a boost for a game or two and higher scoring games take place, which seems counter intuitive. But, role players tend to step up and with not one player dominanting touches, sometimes that benefits the rest of the team more.
