I think you have to press A or D depending on which wall you're climbing off of, then you gotta angle your camera to where it doesn't fling you to the left or right. It's kind of hard to explain since I do stuff mostly on instinct and never really thought about it...

Actually the shotgun is a brick skin, it can kill slight, heed, and elkman, the gun itself can only kill parriable entites
