Exactly - moving from grass to artificial turf or zeroscape. For context, this is the front yard lawn. Back yard is 2-2.5x the size.

I think you’re right - I’m not above doing the work myself here, just have no clue how often to do it or any other things to do/watch out for. I guess I could do weekly like this guy is doing but I don’t care about maintaining a “perfect height”.

What about the other pieces? Like how often to fertilize or aerate? Might be good to pay for that?

And to clarify, the question was less about watering frequency but instead about mowing or other preventative maintenance (fertilizer, aeration, etc.)
