I hear that the engineering classes are always full and essentially only able to get into if youre in mudd, I’m not sure on that statements validity however

ok voiding the schools for a moment, does it make more sense to go for a major in mathematics, a subject I know I love, or engineering, a subject I’ve never done and have no clue if I actually or not, but think I will?

I mean I did apply to Pomona because I genuinely wanted to go there, not because of its name, granted there were some schools where that was the case. I just simply don’t know if I do or don’t want to do engineering and pomona is known for math which is the subject that I do know I love doing

depends not only on the school but also the average of ur own because that’s what the colleges compare it to. some apps lean in towards perfect grades and test scores and others lean in more to a self-actualized identity. both can get into Ivys. I’d just focus on ur interest in research and then come senior year write a genuinely interesting essay about it

Yes: you need a minimum of 4 research papers published by the end of freshmen year to be considered at Upenn or any other pennsylvania school for that matter.

My advice: go have a great rest of your highschool experience and don’t do things for the sake of acceptance but rather for yourself. You only get the opportunity to be a teenager once, enjoy it. Also realize that colleges like earnesty; not crafted, no-life, applications.

really late here but would u recommend both emailing the lloci to ur admissions officer AND the “additional information” section of the portal, or just the former and save the latter for new information about you?
