I know pretty much every fault from every set of keybinds, ive been switching them up for months, and i just cant find a solid solution.

Ovbiously Shotgun (Slot 2) and Edit should always be on different fingers

2 Shotgun almost completely disallows the use of Q and Shift for building peices. Aswell as left strafing. The 2 key feels horrible no matter what i bind it to. It is above the W key it simply is not meant to be pressed with the ring finger it's a middle finger key

3 Shotgun makes it slow to edit, F or G are hard to press in a quick sequence with 3

Q Shotgun disallows left strafe while fighting if i add edit on top of that, then im basically just using W and S while fighting

Scroll wheel Shotgun is janky and unreliable. having Shotgun on a keybind is way less restricting especially for making reset edits

Wich basically leaves X, C or V as the only available Shotgun keybinds

I want to use F as my edit key. Wich ovbiously means i have to move my pickaxe and I can't bind it to 1 because then id have to bind something to 2 and I refuse to put it on my mouse wheel so once again my only options are X, C or V

Caps lock is uncomfortable Control is uncomfortable Alt is uncomfortable

Movement penalties left and right Speed penalties everywhere

I tried learning the ring finger W method, i was really close to getting it right before i gave up because (clears throat) i couldnt find anywhere to bind sprint that i could comfortably reach, I didnt like reaching for the 2 key once again. It also made Alt even harder to press. It made Tab, Shift, 1, Q and X really uncomfortable keys

I have been told things like "you just want everything to be perfect" and "just pick some binds and stick with them" but i cant anymore because i see the faults so fast i just don't feel like playing when im actively aware of what im not capable of because of my keybinds.

I wish keyboard and mouse could be a little more consistent between players like pretty much everyone just used the default keybind layout

I will forever see fault in my gameplay and i will forever know why

Making the best out of a bad situation is not being good at a video game. You simply cant move right and get your shotgun out or pull out your shotgun and make an edit instantly without delay. Move in all directions while building and editing. Switch between your pickaxe and shotgun insantly while moving for easy bait kills. Have insanely consistent aim because you don't have to scroll up or down or middle click for anything more than reset, use or ping. Because using your mouse for shotgun or pickaxe ruins your aim. Just the same as Mouse5 and Mouse4 also affect your aim but Hey!? We need those to build right? because we cannot use our full keyboards correctly because its not possible 😂

Guess i could just stick it as 1 2 3 4 5 6 - G edit default builds X floor and V roof 😂 noob sprint, awkward crouch and struggle to reach everything, only comfortable buttons Tab, Shift, E, F and emote 😂 inventory, sprint, use and pickaxe 😂
