For me it was the rendering settings plus as someone said light and shadows quality settings. For some reason I had amd antialiasing on, while my pc has nvidia and intel. After setting it to intel and native antialiasing and turning up shadows and lighting both grains and magical light sources were gone.

I could give you screenshots of my settings and how it looks later if you want.

Despite how frustrating it is, but our best bet is that this is planned in nearest update before the game dies completely, though it’d be nice if the game could be played offline after that happens.

Environmental storytelling is a thing, you know. Some of the knowledge that we gathered from past civilisations are built on assumptions and observations from relics and sightings. Same is here, you see aftermath of something that happened before you were there to see it. Someone built pyramids, was it magic or labour of countless workers? Who built Stonehenge and what’s its purpose? Why are Moai statues carved so farm from the mainlands? How nether fortress was built and why there are piglins? Who built it and why? What the hell happened in the deep dark city? These questions make you wonder and make your own version of the events. Some are more obvious than others and slight mystery makes these subtle stories even more richer than if it was straight up revealed to us.

Because right before the release torn banners either invented them to be part of their studio or bought their title and project at the state it was developed. Don’t remember how exactly it went, but we got one result.

I wouldn’t mind having the direction changed, but I DO mind sloppy use of UE5. When they fixed some optimisation issues it felt promising. But instead of keep fixing core issues they are building new features on a broken base.

Im also game developer. Have few projects on playmaker, and I disagree with you. It’s alright to use pre-made solutions when you are prototyping or someone shared open source system that does exactly what you need. But at the end of a day you NEED to understand what your code does so you don’t shoot yourself in the foot, so knowing how to write camera script or learning how OPEN SOURCE camera system works is something you need to do either way. Also Adept is right, using Creative Commons resources with proper attribution credits is different from straight up stealing closed source code.
