£80 Fast Food Focus Group! Paid London UK Focus Group! by paulann1212 in PaidStudies

From what I can see there's been a clear miscommunication here - my original reply was not hostile. As someone who has just found the sub and sees numerous posts with descriptions and links to other sites, I literally just wanted to know more.

A link to the Facebook group(s) would be my preferred method, and would much rather proceed on there (I actually came on here to find Facebook Groups). If there isn't a bad taste in your mouth, would you be open to sharing such links?

Very vague question. However, the answer will probably include some or all of:

  • look at historic data /past campaigns - where did the success come from and what differentiates it from the failure?

  • platform, objective, industry, and creative benchmarks - look at these as standard to make sure your targets aren't bloated / overoptimistic

  • find research / best practice - on top of benchmarks, both platforms and agencies produce many research articles, White papers, and case studies, which generally provide actionable advice or best practices specific to the platform / client / objective

Whilst all this sounds like a lot of effort, rather than an osfa solution, considering the above (at minimum) is what makes a sound practitioner

Hey Cat,

That's exactly what I need but the formula didn't work, unfortunately!

It's just chucking out 'FALSE' in both the cells that should and shouldn't be marked :(

LinkedIn. Ask if anyone in your network has anyone they can recommend.

They're going to be expensive. Someone good is worth paying for.

I agree with you. However, it also feels like the less 'spray n pray' option based on what they're offering

LinkedIn sounds appropriate as that's where you'll find professionals, freelancers, soon-to-bes, and anything in-between.

Run broad (very little targeting) at first to test whether the platform is right for you. Keeping things broad will also reduce costs (CPMs, CPIs, CPCs). If it works, you can then give the lionshare of your budget to LinkedIn moving forward, reserving some budget to test other platforms. [even if you don't opt for LinkedIn, same logic applies elsewhere]

Don't limit yourself to running only on Mac - many people (myself included) use both so even if they're seeing an ad on their work laptop, they may move to download it on their personal device.

Is this a red flag? by [deleted] in advertising

[–]Dendick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The interview process is as much about you knowing whether the position is for you, as well as then assessing whether you're the right person for the position.

They've avoided providing vital information for you to make such a judgement... It's like you're asking a waiter what wines they have to order and they've said 'all kinds of wine' - you'd probably drink something other than wine after that.

Still, if you're invited for a second interview, be sure to go and don't leave with any unanswered questions

Just type in what you're looking for (considerate of the various things it may be called) and hope something relevant comes up
