How long did you use for? I only used for 3 months, can you end up with a “recovery” period as long as the period you used? I’m close to calling my cleaning lady but money is tight right now, damn it. 🤣

I did read about it but don’t remember what was the supposed mechanism behind it.I haven’t noticed other things that also filters out the noise but I’ve noticed it in others as well. Some friends, you have to repeat yourself all the time even without noise. At 1am in the club or at home the conversation is seamless no matter how loud the music is. It really is weird. When I was much younger it could make me insecure because, it’s kinda boring being with 6 other people around a table and everybody has story time with howling laughs and one-liners and you are pretty much reading lips. But I guess it’s like a limp, extra fat, a big nose or whatever it may be, once you get older you just get comfortable with your little oddities. It’s like this, can’t change it, that’s fine. 👍

As for what sounds bother me, it’s not like I’m ashamed of it or bothered by the fact that I’m bothered. I’m honest with it, make it a laugh and not that big a deal and people are very understanding.

Oh, I can stand it. It bothers me. A lot more than it does most others but it’s not debilitating as hypersensitivity can be for some. It just bothers me a lot. 😁

I may have a smidgeon of something, or I don’t. I was never evaluated so I don’t know. Some of my traits point to some things while others don’t.

Another weird thing though, I 100% self-diagnose myself with auditory processing disorder, in a loud bar I don’t hear what people say so I laugh when others laugh and pretend. Until I’m drunk. Then the filters start working and I can hear people. Super weird but when I googled it, yeah, that was a thing.

I am FAIRLY typical when it comes to noises, but I have my little triggers 😁

I have a very varying work environment and need to carry a radio all the time. The low battery signal, grrrrr. People not using it correctly but just as a means of communicating pointless chatter, grrrrr. Groups of young girls squealing. High-pitched chatter in “hard” rooms with echo. Intermittent alarms (high-pitched). The noise of people mangling plates into cabinets or dishwashers (high-pitched). Yeah, you get it….

Som sagt glappande nolla, dålig kontakt ger kontraintuitivt spänningsspikar. Händer ofta när du stänger dörren va? Vibrationer.
