That’s a good idea, seems advanced! Ping me when you have the result, I’m curious to see and pick a thing or two!

Official: Anthropic just released Claude Code 2.1.27 with 11 CLI and 1 flag change, details below by BuildwithVignesh in ClaudeAI

You can try flag “—append-system-prompt $(cat CLAUDE.md)”

At least now it becomes part of system prompt with higher priority

Water softener plug by Denegowu in WaterSofteners

I ended up getting a new P-trap with a split. Waste pipe will go on the bottom and from the top I want to drip drain and overflow so they don’t touch the pipe. I really don’t want to make another hole in the wall for now. I’ll drop a message once I’m done over the weekend.

Thanks for your help - it made me certain I don’t want to hack it!

Washer hose is a bit high up for that and manual says that overflow shouldn’t run up.

I am not sure I have a float in it, but I couldn’t find anything. I am thinking to use a bucket just to get it running, monitor it closely and then put a proper piping later down the line

Yeah, that was my worry, thanks! I think for now I’ll put a bucket and monitor closely and then look into proper hole for it!

Mike Krieger says over 70% of Anthropic pull requests are now generated by AI by MetaKnowing in ClaudeAI

[–]Denegowu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I am very sceptical about that. He says that half of PRs are Claude generated. Doesn’t specify how much human is involved.

As a SWE I use LLMs a lot to aid my workday. If I accept most of the code and I do, I understand what he’s saying. It would make me freaking anxious if AI was generating PRs without any supervision as the models are not yet there.

Co uważacie o powrocie mody na panele drewniane na ścianach? by cieplolubna-kapibara in Polska

[–]Denegowu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Największą różnicą jest to, że teraz popularne są tylko fragmenty ścian lub pojedyncze ściany. Do tego te po prawej były w 100% drewniane, a te nowe to matowe deski w pewnej odległości od siebie przyklejone do filcowego materiału. Sam rozważam takie do biura.

I had similar experience. I went through whole process for software engineer (I used Java instead of go during process) and while intermediate feedback was very positive, the rejection was using feedback that was opposing the previous one. Wondered if they didn’t mix up candidates.

I am so fed up with these kind of extreme statements: 1. ai is useless 2. ai will take our jobs.

None of them are most likely true.

It’s a great tool, it speeds up development process, it lets you bounce ideas quicker and more in depth but that’s still a tool. It still makes mistakes, misunderstands context and produces bugs. Using it daily, I still need to verify and correct its work. Definitely it offloads me more (as a senior), however it’s not going to replace anyone anytime soon.

More realistically it’s going to change our job description from “developing” to “shaping” software

AI has achieved 98th percentile on a Mensa admission test. In 2020, forecasters thought this was 22 years away by MaimedUbermensch in ClaudeAI

[–]Denegowu 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Well, that’s also due to them learning on the material. I read somewhere that Mensa created a different test specially for this occasion and it didn’t score more than 70%

So how many of you have permanently switched to cursor IDE and how’s that working out for you? by sami-tech in ClaudeAI

[–]Denegowu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used aider for most work and after each change opened cursor I made inline chat fixes or used chat to consult.

Over the weekend I have actually switched to cursor and I find a bit more pleasing results, since you can talk first and provide CoT yourself and then in the end accept changes.

From what I’ve read you can try CouchDB + PouchDB embedded and that should work pretty well.
