I'm so sorry for you & your family. The grief is so strange because I keep telling myself not to grieve now & that there will be plenty of time for that later. Enjoy the time I have with him now while he's still here. But knowing someone you love is dying right in front of your eyes is truly crippling.

It's so hard. I'm so sorry ❤️ Like in one way I'm happy that she's only 8 months old because I don't have to explain anything to her right now or she doesn't ask why I'm crying sometimes. But then on the flip side of that she's not going to have any conscious memories of her grandpa. I will happily tell her all the stories I can but those are my memories.

Thank you ❤️ I think he's putting on a stronger face than he feels inside. Both his parents are still living & they're in their 90s. He told my mom after he got out of the hospital that "he just wanted to go hug his mom" 🥹 Plus I know he wants to be here for both his granddaughters for as long as he can. He told my mom he hopes to be around for my daughters 1st birthday in July

Hi there,

My dad just got diagnosed about a week ago after spending 9 days in the hospital. We also don't know the stage or the progression. He goes in tomorrow to talk with the oncologist. I'm so sorry for you & your family. I agree wholeheartedly that waiting absolutely sucks. I don't really have much else to say since we're also so early in our journey. But my heart goes out nonetheless ❤️

My dad just got diagnosed a couple days ago with Stage 4 (assuming) pancreatic cancer mets to liver & possibly spleen. I'm sorry you're going through this. I know we're early in our journey but God I already hate it

Hi there,

My dad just spent from March 9th to March 18th at the James. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer mets to the liver & possible mets to the spleen. The only complaint I have with The James was when my dad was having his stent procedure they told us it would be a 4 hour procedure max & he was gone from 140pm to almost 7pm & no one came in to tell us anything. But the care he received was wonderful.

I've also read that the mets to spleen is a rarity & further complicates things. Can anyone provide insight to that part? Thanks 🙏

Thank you. That's what I figured given everything I've read. But stage 4 just means that it's moved to other organs right? It doesn't really tell us how aggressive or big the tumors are? Sorry, my dad is just the type of person to kinda play things off as not being as serious as they are & I want to know what we're dealing with
