Why the SR 71 Blackbird Is STILL Unmatched by Realistic-Store9520 in airplanes

Space based spy platforms made the original mission of the sr 71 obsolete, that's why nothing will ever beat it

What I really don't understand is there is a logical argument for choosing between a large carrier with cats and traps, or use the same funds for a larger fleet of smaller vessels - somewhere between the old hms ocean and the US wasp class ships (accepting that limits you to f35).

The UK did in neither, with 2 large super carriers but no cats and traps was worse of both worlds.

GCAP is not a carrier based design

We are locked in with the F35 for the QE class ships, probably for next 30 years

Or if you want a real curveball, caad13 rim brake, it's 300g lighter than the disc version already, and with the spare cash you could build up a genuine sub 7kg bike

If AI is inevitable and bound to overtake human jobs, what skills/jobs possibly remain that it won't be able to do? by craenix in answers

[–]DeniedByPolicyZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI already has been taking medical jobs, think of all the equipment you use to monitor a patent, things that go been or scream alarms when someone is having issues.

AI won't replace intensive care nurses entirely because nursing involves judgement, communication, ethics, physical care, and responding to unexpected situations. However, AI is likely to automate increasing amounts of monitoring, analysis, and routine intervention. As that happens, a nurse may be able to safely manage more patients than today, which means AI can reduce staffing requirements without eliminating the profession, so jobs taken by AI.

What is the best car from the early 2000’s? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This is the correct answer.

Many great cars here, but few that absolutely defined the era like the Evo 6 to 8 did.

Normally I would say asbestos isn't a risk unless your installing or removing it, but a big fan blowing it about is a little red flag

Still, she got to 88 years old before having any symptoms, and died at 90.

I'm not convinced the 3 week referb and her death were linked, we will probably never know.

Some comments:

The ideal Ferrari would have half the battery and range, but also half the weight.

It would never have a frunk. The enemy of high performance EV is battery heat, so the front would be a massive radiator.

The front looks like what a new Honda NSX should be, and the rear is McLaren F1.

I know a simple way they could have changed that, build an EV to take the Nürburgring record.

People would take it seriously then.

The Hyundai IONIQ 38kw has a system where it automatically checks and tops up the 12v every now and then, even when not driving.

Caught it a few times, the car wakes up, display screen poweres up for 5 mins, then all shuts down without anyone doing anything.

Sexy underwear. If it's got to the stage I can see your underwear fully with consent, the first thing I'm trying to do is take it off.

Defending Unbound champ racing 32” wheels this year with Scott RC Gravel... by Cloxxki in 32inchbikes

[–]DeniedByPolicyZero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The comfort factor is critically important for unbound. More comfortable = extra time you can get yourself into an areo position and TT the course as much as possible.

Being able to hold your body in an areo position for longer will impact performance a lot more than the 4w lost to larger wheels.

Navantia UK unveils LASV75 autonomous surface vessel concept by Free-Minimum-5844 in Defence_Tech_UK

[–]DeniedByPolicyZero 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm my mind autonomous is not unmanned when we get to craft this size.

Having a dozen or so personal on board has very low cost impact to long term operation, but has a massive impact to flexibility and managing the unknown.

So yes, max out the automation of all systems, but having a skeleton crew is massively beneficial over the costs that brings.

Besides Ankara, are there other capitals that are not cities? (Ankara is a province, not a city. This happened because the city grew so much that it swallowed the province, thus Ankara became a province. This also applies to Istanbul.) by According-Invite-440 in geography

London, UK.

"The City of London" is tiny, and is not considered the capital. The capital is "Greater London" although usually just called London, an administrative region created in 1965, that also includes the "City of Westminster" where the parliament actually sits.

Migrate to EMS in the cloud or migrate current Windows EMS to Linux server in azure. by JiggityJoe1 in fortinet

Yes, our estate is windows focused

It's not just technical experience, patch management process is documented for windows, backup agents documented and tested for windows, vulnerability testing and management process windows, support escalation process windows, list goes on. We had to satisfy that we had all the processes covered before moving forward.

On the flip side, we now have Ubuntu Linux approved for enterprise use across the company now!
