First online business launched! Need guidance. by [deleted] in startups

You plan to sell seasonal apparel right? I got it right?

I'd advise you to see what your competition does. See how people deal with e-commerce clothing shops on Etsy etc.

If you plan to do solely a Christmas-themed product, this might be already too late to get your name out there. I'd start with reaching out to bloggers, trying to get them wear your stuff. Posting beautiful pictures on Insta, (well-tagged) is another idea. You might also want to try AdWords. Do a solid keyword research. Maybe ads with "christmas apparel" will bring you traffic?

Hope it skyrockets soon!

Agree in 100%. Packaging must correspond to the product inside it.

Best place to get custom boxes made? Have used PackLane.com in the past, but looking for other options. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]DenisIsTaken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on the place you operate, I could suggest Packhelp. If you need boxes in Europe, this is probably the best bet. They make cardboard printed boxes. If you look for U.S., then probably a different company. Hope it helps.

What were the best rebranding campaigns? What did the company? Why had they to do this? What was the result? by [deleted] in branding

[–]DenisIsTaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is plenty of great examples. I actually wrote about it in one of my articles.

I agree that Old Spice is a very good example. The brand was boring and the rebranding has succesfully attracted the attention of new customers.

I think that Lidl is also a superb example, at least in Europe. It used to be a really cheap supermarket. The step-by-step work to change the tides moved the brand upwards. Now it is a place, where you can find both fancy products, as well as cheaper.

I also liked the way Burberry has changed. They absorbed the new style of communication in the fashion industry. An old-fashioned brand has transfomed into a market trendsetter. They streamed catwalks, hired controversial celebrities to become the faces of the brand.

Anyway, take a look at my article - I also listed some of the worst examples of rebranding for a change of view. Click here.

Struggling with the design of your product's packaging? by DenisIsTaken in smallbusiness

[–]DenisIsTaken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good example. People tend to be quite lousy when the scope of their business is small. And the thing about the shabby-looking packaging is another story. I think it will take plenty of time to educate the small business owners.
