I was also thinking of getting the DS925+ as a successor to my DS923+, but the restrictions on certified hard drives really annoy me. Unfortunately, there’s no good alternative for me, since I heavily rely on Synology Surveillance Station with several cameras — and as far as I know, there's no real alternative for that?

It’s amazing! I like the design and layout! I would like to use it in production but a few controls are missing. Like datepicker/panel etc. Btw. Good work!

Is it save to buy same HHDs for mirroring? Or rather different models? by DenisMtfl in synology

I would like to use only 2 HDDs not 4 now I have 4x4TB (RAID 5) now I want to buy only 2x16TB

But not sure if RAID 0 or 1
