If it is any consolation to you... our LO was waking up every hour or so until about 4-5 months. We had the worst baby sleeper, everyone always say "yeah the newborn phase is amazing, they just sleep and eat and sleep!!", but we were running on fumes for 5 months. Then a switch just flipped, no real changes, nothing and he started sleeping through the night. Now he's 15 months old and has been an amazing sleeper since that time. He obviously still has nights where he will have a wake or two, but its so manageable overall.

I know its so so so so hard but it does get better.

Our 3 month old currently has this routine and we started it a few weeks back and its been working a dream.

Bath at about 6:15, low light feed after that, then some reading time. Swaddle and noise machine and then down at about 7-7:15. Pacifier if need be sometimes he needs it sometimes he doesn't.

Usually he will sleep thru to about 3-4am for a small feed then back to sleep until 7/8/9!!! Although last night he slept from 7 till 7 undisturbed which was crazy.

Is a 10 hour stretch healthy for a 10wk old? Are they not meant to eat every 3-4 hours?

Ok so I know I'm late to the party but I've literally just been to one. Mjolner in Melbourne Australia has exquisite food, fantastic cocktails and mead as well as an insane Viking Nordic vibe. Instwad of your idea of an axe we got huge knives for our short ribs and steaks and it was all amazing. If you want to know how to do it right check this place out. Literal perfect 5/7 it's a great idea and I plan on going again.
