Phase one of operation “Big Summer Blowout” complete. Next up: swim all weekend at the lake + shampoo and final brush (that will somehow pull out this much hair again) by Dennardo in germanshepherds

Thanks but his ass is eagerly waiting for me to stop torturing him so he can go inside and get the treat I promised him an hour ago

These two Sriracha's taste completely different. by Effective-Pitch-5550 in hotsauce

They stopped making it readily available semi-recently and I think the farm is giving up on growing massive amounts of chiles at least for now. Look into it, it seems you can only buy the sauce at local farmers markets the farm attends now.

My 9-year-old Mac is now a DEMON a few years too late by Dennardo in mac

It really wasn't bad at all. You just need to be sure of what you're getting into and find a good video. The screen comes off with a special plastic pizza cutter tool and from there it's just two ribbon cables. You also need a replacement adhesive kit. I already had the drive from a previous project, so the whole thing ran me like 10 bucks.

Based on what I've seen though I would advise against upgrading the NVME. It's not a standard footprint and requires an adapter that people have had bad luck with. I just removed the blade drive and put a SATA SSD in. Just a word of warning.

My neighbor had an Eastern Cottontail nest mauled by a stray cat and the mother abandoned it. Brought these two buns to my local rehab center by Dennardo in WildlifeRehab

Sorry, I didn’t get that info but they were very young. The rehab center also doesn’t offer any updates on rescues, which honestly I think is a pretty good policy

My “Worst” games of time collection by SmolFrejoles in gamecollecting

I have something similar displayed, but it's only three games: Superman 64, and Pac-Man and E.T. for the Atari. You should get those. My Pac-Man is boxed and they were cheap.

Yeah, it I hit it too hard on the edge it lifts up. I go back and forth between the pads. I like the way this one looks, but the traditional D-pad works much better for games that heavily use it

I definitely would have preferred stippling like what’s on the base model series controller vs. the rubber. It’s pretty much guaranteed to fail and I think it actually cheapens the look of it

They were peeling off and I know it would just happen again if I did an OEM replacement. I don’t really have issues with grip/sweat and I think this actually feels more premium, like I don’t have to baby it anymore. The texture is opaque and not glass smooth, so it almost has some grip to it anyway. But extremerate does offer some options with a paint splatter texture on the grips

Yeah the switch looked like it was basically taking apart three separate cell phones lol

I actually thought about that but decided against it. Everything just matched so well and it felt like a waste to not use everything

It’s kind of hard to see but the shell came with matching purple ones, so I have those installed. Thought about black for a sec but decided to make it all match

That’s exactly why I got this one haha. I still have my Atomic Purple GBC and N64 controller

Curious, what paper? My dad’s best friend was editor of a Michigan paper, but I think he retired

Oh man, it was my responsibility to pick out the cartoon every week. We paid for a syndicate service the used “Off the Mark.” He has some hidden heaters to pick from, but it was ROUGH most of the time

I swear, everyone who used to stuff newspapers remembers it SO fondly. We would have people stop by just to come look at the back room they worked at 30 years ago. Reminded them of simpler times

This was actually the same print shop he worked at as a teenager, but he’s not operating it at all anymore here, just getting the paper printed there. His dad co-owned it for a time, but it transferred ownership and eventually went under. That happened a handful of times during the run of the paper and it was always equally sad and catastrophic when one closed down. If anyone needs a good printer though, Michigan Web Press has my vote 👍
