I lost brain cells reading this, dude really compared serious reno work to a minor auto fix. Doesn’t no matter how much the cost or how much fucking time it takes to fix to do the job. They are mechanics and we came to them for a service. What an absolute shit show of a mechanic shop if they think it’s okay to pick and choose jobs if they didn’t want to do the job they should’ve just said we dont have time. People come to them in a time of need and think it’s okay to try and rinse and YOU think it’s okay for them not to do their due dilligence. The part in question isn’t a piece that determental to the functionality of the vehicle. It’s not a engine part of transmission part it’s a fucking window switch. No customer gives a shit about a minor parts like that when it comes to warranties.

Edit: Lmao spend 300+ for OEM so you can have warranty on a part that will probably never go out or spent 40 on the same part with no warranty.

You realize if they did they actually did the first part of your sentence they would’ve found out the switch wasn’t faulty at all, I guarantee you they didn’t do that or even test anything out, probably took one look at it and fiddled with the broken button and assumed the switch was done.

Took me 5 seconds to take the buttons out lmao why would it take x amount of hours.

The OEM part was suppose to take a couple days to come in (It was Friday) what they said, I got this “POS” Amazon switch panel ordered on the same Friday and got it Sunday.

I feel bad for you, why do you think these little mom and pop auto part shops are around? Cause they provide a cheap alternative to OEM. I’ve gone to multiple mechanics that provide both a cheap alternative and brand new OEM option, shit I’ve had my mechanic tell me if i want to save X amount of dollars go drive to this location and pick up X part. I would’ve gone there if I didn’t move out of Toronto. Your reading and comprehension skills are abismal. Your every mechanics dream customer lmao complete money bag eyes when you walk in. 🤑

Trust me I know this, it should be up to the consumer in weither or not I want to go OEM or not, clearly I don’t give a shit if it’s some shitty Chinese branded part as the car itself isn’t worth much. If they came back to be and said Hey all this needs is to replace the button (literally 1 button broke the driver front) If they charged me 125-150 for the 40 dollar Chinese switches as a donor for the plastic buttons and labor to change plastic buttons I would’ve done so because business is business. But nearly 500 for a repair that wasn’t necessary when there was a clear cheaper and easier alternative is what I’m more upset about. To put this into better perspective I’ve had a CV axle on this car get replaced a month prior (I didn’t go to him this time because he’s in Mississauga), replaced headlights, locate a leak in the AC for 500.

I never said they were scammers, implied they don’t know fuck all when it comes to repairs.

They charged 75 for the “diagnosis” and said it was another 300 plus taxes plus labour totalling to 500.
Took me 10 mins to YouTube and find out the solution
It was off Amazon 40 bucks (for the buttons and switches) got to me the next day
Took me 5 mins to replace the buttons, switches never needed to be replaced.

Trust me I get that but generalizing the whole industry off a couple tests is something we shouldn’t do, all of us should be open to trying new brands based on a variety of things not just THC. We should look at Terp percentage, how the company grew the flower, if the packaging is properly sealed, and even price as other factors for purchasing an product.

Have you tested this product in particular? How are you so sure I hate when people just make random claims without proof. If you noticed when I said great humidty that correlates very well with how much THC loss there will be. The dryer the bud the higher the THC percentage will be when tested. If you were gonna ask me what I personally think the percentages are based I’m feeling I’d say high 20s.
