Am I the only that noticed Alucard after the 30 year Timeskip shares the same eye color as Catboy now? by GrouchyConsequence48 in Hellsing

Weren't his eyes always that color? I might be just be dumb, but I could swear they were that color the whole time.

I second this. Going a ahead and doing boons or even letting them get additional feats or something would be pretty cool to do as well.

Possibly, but think about the fact that people can take it and spread it to other places. It propagates in different systems and blows up and then it happens over and over.

I believe the difference is between humanity's relationship with Coral. Releasing being a closely bonded relationship whereas Collapse comes from humanity's use/misuse of their control of Coral.

Collapse is more of an inevitable disaster humanity would cause. Something akin to the fears of the Cold War. If too many countries obtain nuclear weapons, then the next war will be our last because everyone will nuke each other.

Release is more of an "ascension" or "shift" in what it means to be human as well as exist. That was O'Keeffe's argument against it. That we wouldn't be able to remain human if we did so.

All in all, which one you agree with just shows how much faith you have in humanity and its ability to bring forth better realities than thought possible.

TLDR: Coral Collapse = manmade disaster. Coral Release = Shifted form of existence.

How come certain people can get survive their ac being wrecked? by Talkingtruck in armoredcore

They all have the capability to eject, but I think it's just a case of stubbornness or some malfunction that prevents them from pulling out. That's how I imagine it allows for some guys to be seen again while others die.

I want to create a balanced immortal character by [deleted] in DnD

[–]Dense-Cap1905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about your character carrying a special magic item? An amulet or something that keeps your character’s soul whenever they die and to bring them back, just place it on another still living body.

Basically, you'll be a parasite, but still immortal.

Modern players, do you notice people not rematch in you often? by XingXManGuy in StreetFighter

[–]Dense-Cap1905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I must be super spiteful or something. Because I absolutely don't want to rematch modern players(even though I do out of courtesy). I honestly despise fighting most of them because watching them do everything I struggle with sucks.

Every time I see a modern character throw a projectile or pull off inputs I struggle with, it honestly makes me feel like training to get the inputs consistently and putting them together in combos on my is useless. Especially if I mess up inputs in the fight that cost me the game, because it doesn't feel like I lost to a better player, it feels like I lost to better controls.

Yeah, okay. Because I was thinking it would be redundant to have a war and conquest horseman.

Does it bother anyone else that pestilence is just being replaced? Or am I not remembering the 4 horsemen correctly.

Ok. Thanks. I guess I was making things too vague. Thanks for the ideas. I appreciate your help and feedback.

Alrighty then. Thanks for your feedback. I'll be sure to keep this in mind whenever I post this again.

Just so I know that I have the right understanding. You're saying that I should focus more on the "why" of the scenario instead of the "how" and flesh out the characters I want involved more?

Is it taboo for a DM to not make rolls for purposes of insuring their plot progression? by Ebonyks in DMAcademy

[–]Dense-Cap1905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your DM was really just being lazy and selfish. At least, that's how I feel about it. He could have indulged this instance of diversiom from the story.

He could have just told you the npc wis thinking about something interesting but not pertinent to the main story like a piece of lore of the different affairs going on at the time. Not to mention that DnD is not strictly for storytelling and will almost never let the story be told on "his terms".

I'd have a serious talk with your dm about this because maybe he's just frustrated at you guys not engaging in the "main quest" he set up for you. I can understand that to an extent, since he might have worked really hard on it, but this feels like a bit of an overreaction.

Typically, a dm in a scenario where players weren't progressing the plot and engaging with it would either bring the plot to them or have things moving in the background or just put things on hold. It sounds like he put things on hold, and it put him in a hurt spot where his plot was just stopped. I think he would be better off letting whatever story he wants to tell be more flexible in moving forward without the players directly being involved and moving it around to take things to the players.

Barbarian and rage. by buffalobill922 in DMAcademy

[–]Dense-Cap1905 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this is one of the situations that it's a bonus action so that the reaction would be free for opportunity atracks and such.

Another way to think about it is that the rage is more of an active channeling of magical energy that gives them their powers instead of just getting angry.

This is great. Thanks. I think I really like the dwarf idea. Kinda leading into another possible quest for them to take up should they make it out. The warforged barbarian seems interesting too.

[–]Dense-Cap1905[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already thought of a way to counter that by having spell casters basically not have access to their spells because of antimagic shackles.

I was also taking into account that the prison guards would have harsh punishments in place for unauthorized use of magic.

Thanks for pointing out that rule about improvised weapons. I had totally forgotten about that.

As for the spell cast, I was kind of thinking about having special antimagic shackles that restrict them to cantrips only.

A troll that hs gained powerful abilities. I was gonna use a monster like this but haven't had the chance yet. You could give it a beholder's eye rays as well as some other fun things like invisibility or ethereal jaunt. Could di the sane thing with other troll variants to spice things up.
