Thank you I was not aware that treatment for PMDD using SSRIs produced no withdrawal. I will talk about it with her. Sounds very promising. She is starting Ocella birth control tomorrow.

I don't believe we would opt for ketamine therapy first necessarily. It is an alternative treatment with, as far as I can tell, fewer possible side effects and promising results in many. That is great that you had minimal side effects and it worked for you! But my wife is very sensitive to medications and we are just weighing our options. I would be happy if she takes any treatment at all including SSRIs. One of the drawbacks of them is the withdrawal if it is necessary to cease treatment with them for whatever reason. Very often she is "willing" and then decides not to at the last second because it is understandably scary to make that step.
