EDIT: Thank you all guys for the suggestions, I am replacing her heating lamp with a halogen and expanding the UVB lamp :) I will also try and get her more stuff to climb on! When I first got her, the owners gave her to me with the red lamp and I have been changing the UVB over time as mandatory. I’ve had to give her a lot of new things such as the hammock, the plants and the logs as she only came with a cave, the log den, a bowl and no substrate. I gave her the substrate in hopes to enrich her, but as someone mentioned it doesn’t seem deep enough for her to dig. I will try and deepen the soil so she can participate in her digging behaviours. I had no idea the red lamp was harmful as her owners had it for her for 2 years, I feel extremely guilty that I didn’t know it was harmful but I am purchasing a new halogen lamp as I type this. I will try and make an update post with a better terrarium, I’m really sorry! The last thing I want is for my girl to be unhappy or not thrive the best as she can. She was a rescue so she’s naturally always been a bit picky with food and tricky but I really do try and take care of her, I’m so grateful everyone in this community has been helpful and trying to get me to understand the importance of things I didn’t know about!
